Likes

The College has very good infrastructure.
It has very good placement records with highest of 54 lpa
It provides the various opportunities for different students.

Dislikes

The teachers are not well experienced in teaching.
They gave as lot of assignment word and other stuff.
it has very strict timings for the classes.

Course Curriculum Overview

College provides the latest course curriculum in terms of relevance in the industry. This curriculum helps me to prepares for the real-worlds problems. Still there is many things that they need to improve like written assingment and worksheets.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 212000 per year

Internships Opportunities

They also provides the internship opportunities for students from 5th semester onwords. Like Paypay for SDE intern role of stipend of 1-2 lakhs per months. Many companies is going to visit in the placements months.

Placement Experience

Students of 5th semester can able to sit in the on-campus placemnts drives. till now more then 900 companies have visited the college. The highest package was 54 lpa by microsoft. The average pacakage is around 6-10 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

1.Tuition Fee: Yearly fee: Rs 212000 Per sem: Rs 106000 2. Examination fee: per sem: Rs 2500 3. My College ScholarShip: 50% of tuition Fee which is Rs 53000 4. Fee is subject to periodic increase for newly admitted students.

Campus Life

They organise many events for all students of various backgrounds. It has very good infrasturcture at all. They have organse many tech fest for the students. It also provides alot of opporunties for the sports and extra carricular activites.

Admission

I applied for this college because it has a very good NIRF ranking. It also give me the scholarship of 50% on my tuition fee. It have good records in overall placements. The addmission process is very smooth because they have lot of admission personals.

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ration is 1:25. The overall faculty is good but they are not well experenced in teaching. There were few of them i live the most like diksha sharma maam of computer networks subjects.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

My college experience as a fresher

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
