Likes
- The faculties here are very supportive. They are good at teaching and and supporting student in every phase.
- The lab facilities here is also very good. Be it Aerodynamics lab or Propulsion lab.
- We have two fighter jet engines here og MiG series that really helped us in understanding the concepts in a better way.
Dislikes
- The management does not support the aerospace department.
- Aerospace should have a separate School instead of in the School of Mechanical Engineering
- If there will be separate school for Aerospace Engineering then more placement will be coming compared to the current scenario.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course design is really fantastic. It is designed in such a way that we can get a basic level knowledge of the subject in our domain in a very great level. The end sem exam is much more difficult than mid sem exam . and the frequent quizes one before and one after midsem is also of good level.
Internships Opportunities
In my department, many students go to HAL division for internship and this is because of our program head Prof. Mrityunjay Jena who arranges for avery one. Almost every students get the opptotunities for HAL different divisions like Koraput, Lucknow, Nashik.
Placement Experience
The placement is good as of now on cpmareing the strength of students here. The company like "Tata Advanced ", "GE Aeropsace". "Skyroot Aeropsace " are the main company that take students. However, more student want to go outside for their higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total course fee: INR 140000 One Time Addmission fee: INR 75000 Hostel Fee: INR 239000 (per year) During End semester Exam, Registration Fee: INR 1000 Also, the topper of each branch is given an scholarship of INR 10000 (one time).
Campus Life
Talking about the overall experience, it is very nice as KKIT provide a vast exposure to any student to expand their wings to explore and grow in their life. The opportunity here is very great. Any student here can grow in any of the desired feild they want.
Hostel Facilities
There different types of room AC, Non AC, premium rooms. According to the choice they have different facilities, any student can chosse any hostel or room they want. The meal is not so bad but also not very good. Prasanti Vihar near KIIT is the main locality fo rents.
Admission
This is the only private college that have a very great facility for AEROSPACE. The labs here are very good and equipped with all necessary equipments that were not present in the labs of other colleges. The one thing here i dont like it the amount of fee that is much higher as compared to other college.
Faculty
Since, we have less student here in our department, the faculty to student ratio is very good. the faculty here almost know each and every student in the campus. Our program head Mr. Mrityunjay Jena is a very fantastic man. He is very hardworking, honest and loyal professor. He is also a very experienced person who has a work experience in the company like Pratt and Whiteny. He als worked as a senior engineer in the Hindustan Aeronauitcs Limited (HAL). Similarly we have Pankaj Kumar Choudahry for Performace and Pramod Malick. These professor have great Knowledge in their subject and have come from IITs AND IISC.
