Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very uptodate and relevant. It is the vital reason that led to my choice of LPU. The curriculum is very much uptodate that prepares us for competitive exams. The exams might vary from Mcqs to Subjective questions well time bound. And the mcqs also contain negative marking. This system prepares us for competitive exams. The teaching methods are very interactive and carrier oriented. The exam difficulty level ranges from easy to moderate enabling upto date students to secure marks they deserve

Internships Opportunities

4

They give internship opportunities in various honored companies like IBM, KPMG, Google Cloud, ICAI, Autodesk, Safe Educate, Automation anywhere, Sysco, TechMahindra, Technostruck, Intel, Mircosoft. Such versatile companies offer internship opportunities to students creating a better workspace and experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

Lovely Proffesional University provides the best infrastructure and wide variety of courses to secure your future. The fee structure for BA (hons) courses are generally 50000 per semester with a hostel fee ranging upto 160000 (for apartment rooms- 2 seater Ac). After scholarship the tuition fee has reduced to 35000 after deducting the scholarship of 15000 from the actual fees. Residential fee was also reduced from 160000 to 100000 after deducting scholarship. Securing seats in LPU require the advance payment of 15000 which will be deducted from the first term fee payment.

Campus Life

4

There are various tech fests, hackathons, interactive session with notable aluminis and successful industrialists. They also promote all cultural festivals without hindering the decorum or the classes. They conduct frequent seminars on our domains as well as on mental health and other character enrichment programmes. They provide various clubs for arts and sports giving exposure to students who are skilled. LPU is notable for their contribution of successful aluminis in Olympics and Paraolympics. Their is a student wellfare union managing all the clubs and student activities.

Hostel Facilities

2

In apartment hostel rooms, they provide us with cupboards, attatched toilet facilities, beds, tables, shoe stands, a pantry area, balcony and Air conditioner and fans. Rooms are cleaned by staffs every two days of a week. The rooms are pretty spacious and neat for accommodation. The meal quality is the only drawback in hostel facilities. The food is not that adjustable and favourable for people coming from different corners of the world. Hostel rates differ from the kinds of mess and rooms we adopt. Mess fee ranges from the type of cuisine and number of meals in a day we opt. Hostel rates vary from sharing rooms to single rooms as well as AC to Non-AC rooms and Apartment rooms.

Admission

I have applied and secured admission in Madras Christian College, but i didn't opt the college as i was more interested in LPU considering their infrastructure, exposure, carrier oriented curriculum and safe and secure residential facilities. Our college conducts an entrance test called LPUNEST in which we get scholarships according to our marks. After that our documents are digitally submitted making it easy for us on our reporting day at the campus. On the reporting day we only have to submit all the paid receipts and do a biometric scan and they will introduce us to our college portal. After that they will allocate our hostel rooms.

Faculty

4

The faculties of LPU are generally very supportive and efficient. They are approachable and reliable at the same time. Arun sir from history department and Shweta mam are my favorite faculties. They are veey friendly and act as our mentors as well. Their classes are very interactive and informative. Meenakshi mam and Valiur sir's classes are my least favorite. They are moderately approachable and their classes are informative yet not that interactive. Exams range from easy to moderate level. Mid terms are generally easy and students find them good to get pass marks. The course curriculum is well updated and also they prepare us in a way to attend competitive exams. Question papers comes in both mcq and subject. Objective papers have negative marking.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I study Psychology, Computer Science and Elective English. I love everything about Psychology. The whole course structureis perfect, and they focus on practicality as well. What I don't like about Computer Science is the lack of practical experience. Exams are fairly easy and are conducted twice per semester. Mid Semester exams are short and the duration is one week. And the finals can go for as long as one and a half month.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you are trying to familiarize yourself with college academics, you will need to learn how college exams are different from high school exams well before you enroll in your first semester of classes. While both college and high school classes are designed to prepare students to become contributing members of society, the environment and the approach are entirely different. You must realize that high school is designed to prepare you for college, but you are considered an adult once you walk the line and apply for college admission. There will be no hand-holding, no parent intervention, more lenient attendance policies, more independent study time, and less one-on-one attention.
