Khalsa College

I study Psychology, Computer Science and Elective English. I love everything about Psychology. The whole course structureis perfect, and they focus on practicality as well. What I don't like about Computer Science is the lack of practical experience. Exams are fairly easy and are conducted twice per semester. Mid Semester exams are short and the duration is one week. And the finals can go for as long as one and a half month.

My course duration is 3 years and the course is divided in 6 semesters. First year fee was aroun 45000, second was about 44000, and the third is about 43500, Fees can be paid in installments each semester.

College organizes frequent events like youth festivals, book fairs and other cultural events which lets students cool off and socialize. College has different libraries in every department and offer huge variety of books to students. Sports events are held every semester and students can compete in intercollege and interstate levels.

I did not apply for any other college though I wanted to go to institutes like Guru Nanak Dev University, Lovely Professional University and Punjab University. Due to personal reasons I could not apply in time so I had to go for Khalsa College.

The teachers overall are of helping nature. Teachers of psychology department are the best. They go out of their way to help the students the best they can. Many teachers of English department are of good nature and very knowledgeable. Exams are conducted twice a semester (Mid Semester exams and the final exams)

Night life at college is not very lively. College gates close at 9 pm and students cannot go outside the hostels after 10 pm. However, students, can have fun inside their hostels and rooftops at night. Just outside the college within 5 min students can hangout at cafes, restuarents and other places.
