Course Curriculum Overview

3

The exams were conducted every semester. 3 CIE(Internal exam) and 1 final(SEE) and also with lab(2 exams). One internal and other external. The exams are easy as it is an autonomous college just referring to model papers were enough you can easily pass. The exams were conducted every one month. Some subjects there would be time given to prepare, while othere they wouldnt give , so it is better to read the subjects before 1 week from exam date. I didnt had any other option as it was the final round i had got this couse. Even i had heard that Civil engineering is evergreen and would need persons to work not AI. The faculty were higly qualified, many had masters as well as PHD Degree. The teachers used green board to explain the topic and sometimes also explained with smartboard projector. some teachers would open the slides and go on reading line by line how it was presented as it is. They have to provide sufficient amount of time to each subject and not just about theory but they have to teach us practical application on how to apply these concepts in real life industry requirements.

Placement Experience

3

For eligibility for placements you need to be in your final year of the college(7 th sem). you need not have any backlogs but if you have you need to clear them before going for work. Campus placements are not so good, the max salary offered was around 10 LPA.The average salary was around 4 LPA. The recruiters were TCS, Accenture, tech mahindra, Sneider electricals, cognizant, ezy ventures etc. The highest package offered was of TCS(PRIME) - 10 LPA. Majority of the company offered 4 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is low and a lot of people dont get job and look for offcampus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for this course is 82000 Rs.(unaided). The tuition fees is around 60000 Rs and the development, lab fees is around 20000 Rs. The examination fees for every sem is 2000 Rs and it increases every year. If you had got good rank in Kcet then your fees would be 40000 Rs(aided). (Rank - below 30 k) if you had gotten SNQ seat then your fees would be 25000 Rs (every year) (Rank - below 10k) There are 2 scholarships you can avail - SSP and NSP. Some students were getting 20000 RS and some were getting 50000 Rs. It is based on income as well as Caste. The management fees is around 5- 7 Lakhs(Approx). There are also private scholarships like TATA , HDFC and other govt schemes etc.

Campus Life

4

The social life and all is the best. You get a lot of friends and they help you whenever you need them (depends on what kind of friends you make). Every department in our college conducts fest every year. MAny fests such as kannada Kalarava, samskruthi , DJ nights are also conducted. You get a lot of books and reference materials in Library . But the thing is that most of these books are filled with dust and some are old and are torn. Some books are brought new sometimes . The amenities are good inside classroom , a normal bench , a dias for teacher and a board and a projector, not so fancy things are available and it is adjustable. for Sports you have to bring your own equipment for playing and it has a big ground. During events there will be cricket tournaments and volleyball tournaments that are held in college . There are no websites run by students. There are a lot of groups that are run by the college people.

Admission

This was the college i had got while applying for seat matrix in KCET and this was the final round so I had no other option but to join this college and i didnt wanted to waste an year. I had got Global college of engineering in my previous round but couldnt go for it as it was far away from my Home and it could waste my time in travelling. I had applied to many good engineering colleges but i didnt get selected as i didnt have a good score in kcet. I had applied to RV , MSRamiah, BMS, and other prestigious colleges but couldnt get into it. as i didnt have a good score and was not eligible. The admission process is simple, if you get the college name in Kcet seat matrix then you can apply to this college by visiting the campus and providing necesssary documents. There are no exams conducted for eligibility. You can show your KCET scorecard, or JEE scorecard and get admission.

Faculty

3

The teachers were all highly professional And most of them had Masters degree as well as a PHD. They will help you with any kind of doubts that you have and teach you how to handle the subject. The bad aspect is that they would only stick with topics and sometimes they even skip topics that are there in syllabus saying us to read on our own. The starting topics are easy on any topic but moving on they skip many as there wont be time as each semester get ended in 3-4 months. The faculty - student ratio is obviously less for faculty. The faculties are approachable and its ok to ask doubts or get the topics clearly understood. The faculty that is best is our python SIR(Satish SIR) . He used to teach the concepts clearly and also explain each and every line of code. some teachers would open the slides and go on reading line by line how it was presented as it is.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
