Course Curriculum Overview

3

I would rate the course a 8/10 in terms of relevance . Specific aspects like- 1. Focus on core fundamentals like Data Structures , DBMS and computer networks. 2. Industry relevant topics - like Cloud Computing, AI and ML. 3. Lab and Project works gave hands on experience. Real world readiness - The curriculum includes Web development which aligns well with the industry Topics like Agile,Blockchain and data science is also added to make us industry ready Students trying for higher studies benifit from Advance Maths. Areas of Improvement includes- 1. Curriculum update- Modern tech like Devops can be included. 2. Teaching methords - Encourage interactive learning through case studies and focus on more project based learning to develop problem solving skills 3. Practical exposure by workshops Frequency and timings of exams- Internal occur on monthly basis but the semester exams study gaps are not provided. They wrap it up within 10 days make it difficult. Model papers and notes,PPT are provided that helps students.

Placement Experience

1

Placements are pretty avcerage in my opinion since only few tech companies are visiting this year is almost half of which were visiting before around 500 students from all departments get eligible for placements every year TCS took around 120 students Cognizant took 15 students Stratogent took 10 Elocity took 2 Hashedin took 5 Accenture and Tech Mahinra have visted and about to take 50 and 50 each. Highest package is 10LPA Average is 3 LPA Around 25% of students have gotten placed. My plan is to work since i got placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee that i am paying includes: Since mine is aided seat i.e pure governmant the fee split goes like: Tution fee : 15,000 Other fee( including VTU registration ,lab components and miscellaneous charges) : 30,000 Placement Assistance (one time charges) - 6000 Total Annual Fees- 43,000 Rupees Another type of seat i.e Unaided Fee Split up is like : Tution fee: 55,000 Other fee : 30,000 (same as aided) Placement fee (one time) - 6000 Total annual fee - 85,000-88,000 SNQ Quota students are supposed to pay only 10,000 per year. Category wise Fee Details- General and OBC are supposed to to pay the above specified fee but SC/ST need to pay 10,000 for aided and 50,000 for unaided Other Admission mode include: COMEDK - Fee is around 2,30,000 per year Management Quota- Fee 2,50,000 per year and 10,00,000 donation(One Time) SSP Scholorship provided by karnataka government for karnataka resisdents For GEN/OBC students it is 18,000 per year For SC/ST - 80,000 per year Students with agriculture background gets additional 10,000

Campus Life

1

Overall campus life experience is Bad according to me since the campus infrasturvture is pretty poor and of low quality with no proper canteens etc 2 fest take place which are main one in odd sems MAITRI and even one is Sanskirti both are badly organized nothing new same old low efforts feast. Each department ahad their own technical fest like CSE has Interupt

Admission

Colleges i applied were- 1. UVCE 2. BMSIT 3, PES Confirmed admissions were from PES Why i chose DRAIT- 1. It was close to my home like just 500 meters away 2 . Affordable since it had less fee compared to PES Rejections- I didnt get admissions in UVCE and BMS since my KCET rank was not eligible since cutoffs were to high. Admission process at Dr AIT- 1. Must have 50% more from 10th and 12th 2 . Better KCET rank with cutoff around 10,000 for CSE 3. Document verification - Submission of 10th,12th marks card, transfer certificates etc 4. Fee payment

Faculty

3

Faculty to Student Ratio is around 1:15 which ensures that students recieve adequate attention and support . Faculty Student Relationship- They are generally approachable and encouraging .Some faculties even provide additional guidance for projects , exams and career development. Dr Harish G - He had excellent teaching style. He took Data Structures subject and it is permanently eched in my memory. He is supportive in projects. Dr Praveena - He is very supportive and is a source of valuavle information. He tries to help students in whatever way he can. He also guides students who want to do higher studies. Prof Nandini - She was one lady who i didnt like and she has now become the HOD of CSE department and she doesnt deserve even .0001% of it. She doesnt even know how to speak in english just so irritating and came to this position just because of politics There are 2 internals and 1 makeup internals which is for 25 marks. Out of 3 only 2 internals need to be attended. for lab subject there is a lab internals for 50 marks. Final Semester End exam is conducted for 100 marks and smilarly lab final exams are conducted for 50 marks. final grade includes 50:50 of both internals and SEM End exams. The exams are moderate to difficult where theory subjects are difficult to crack but lab exams are easy. The pass success rate is around 90% in the first attempt and if someone fails the college provide supplementary. The course is somewhat relevant with introduction of subjects like cloud and AI and ML where students can gain hands on exposure of emerging technologies like blockchain and full stack web development.

Night Life

4

Thers no such thing like late night activities and there is a rock garden which is our hangout spot. yes there is a gy, but it is for hostel students only campus timing is from 9 to 5 Hostel gate closes at 9 in the night There are many hotels and cafe outside the college and our hangout palce is uncle bakery where puffs are the best. The locality is absolutely best and safe both at day and night times.

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities
