What Students Say

Likes

Students in college are less so you get better attention of the professor , you can ask them anything and they will help you.
The quality of the infrastructure is good , and amenities are also good.
Fest and college events are quite colorful and happening.

Dislikes

College is small as compared to the total students in the campus.
Many new branches are opening like mechanical and all , not that much of exposure here .
Placements are not that good , they shift the students to bengluru centre after the 3rd year.

Course Curriculum Overview

course cirriculum is good as they update the courses according to the real time requirements . They can improve by not taking exams so quickly as the semester should last at least 4 to 5 months but here you have to be ready for your endsem within 4 months.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 247000 per year

Placement Experience

As we are the third batch of our branch so our senior's placement will be starting this year onwards but in CSE branch they have passed thier first batch with a average package of 8 lacs per annum and placements are going on currently.

Fees and Financial Aid

for Gen/OBC/EWS there is a total 1,23,500 per semester academic fees plus you have to pay 20000 for mess advance fee means total 143500 per semester. Also our college provide merit cum scholarship which reduces the academic fees to 98500 and 20000 for mess advance .And for SC/ST/PWD ,academic fees is 98500+20000(mess advance) , they can also earn mcm scholarship upon there merit.

Campus Life

Overall experience in the campus is quite good , many clubs are active and they participate in the college events and helps to make the fest s good success. College size is small according to the number of students present .Also the location of college is not that good .

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is very good compared to the other colleges as they are new . You get washing machine , 2 fans in a room , water cooler and all the other facilities . Also they are watching you via cctv so dont make any naughtiness.

Hostel Fee: INR 10000 per year

Admission

To be honest i dont have that much of choices left and i want tech branches which i was getting here so i joined . Also the college is government so i thought it will help in placements and all things .

Faculty

As the college is small , so you can directly contact to faculties for any issue they will try to help you in any field . Best faculties are obviously from the chemical and petroleum branch as the college is energy oriented , new branches are opening and many new faculties are joining in these branches . There is midsem which has the weightage of 30 percent and endsem consist of 60 percent the remaining are quizes and assignment.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good. Companies that hire for Electrical core: Nvidia, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Bajaj etc. Software/Quant compaines open to Electrical: Squarepoint Capital, NK Securities, Google, Microsoft etc. The % of students getting placed are 85%. Average package is 29.33 lpa. I have got an internship in Nvidia Software.

HBTU review from a Ist year student.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is very good in this college. In my own CSE branch there is good placement package you can get. But in this year due to recession the placements is less in IT section but still placement is going on and top package has crossed 35LPA. During previous years top package was around 44LPA and average was 10-12 LPA . Also in other branches like Chemical engineering and mechanical engineering, the placement is at its best of 100% always.

I went for the sake of Govt. college name which turned out of no use as teaching and support is very bad. Also my course name is just a gimmick. Our college admits students on JEE Advanced and for left over seats they use JEE Mains Score. Till 90 percentile in JEE Mains students can get this college. An Honest Opinion for your future at RGIPT

This college was Central Government and was taking admission on the basis of JEE Advanced that are the only 2 reasons to take admission here. I got few colleges but I preferred this. RGIPT conducts its own admission process through its portal. Cutoff for JEE advanced was around 30-35k rank. Admission was smooth process....Read More

RGIPT : An underrated college

The admission process included entrance exams like jee advanced and jee mains, but priority of jee advanced candidate is more and if seat remain vancant then it is filled through jee mains. I had applied many state government colleges like gurugram university, mdu rohtak, pec chandigarh, ymca faridabad, iist, iiser. Some of them are quite good but in terms of research and computer science engineering were not there so I freferred RGIPT. Our college accepts admission through JEE Advanced results but if seats remains vacant then it gets filled on the basis of JEE Mains score. Cutoff for JEE advanced is not specific but someone just qualified jee advanced then there is a high chance of getting admission here, and for jee mains, above 94 percentile is considered to be a safe score....Read More

I was getting a better branch in this collage with more opportunities. But when I saw my other college list that I got there was the lower branches. So instead of getting good colleges like IIITs and BIT Mesra and having lower branches. I choose to come to RGIPT which is also a reputed name but with a great booming branch.
