Course Curriculum Overview
At GU, the curriculum is fairly relevant, covering core subjects like DSA, DBMS and OS, which helps in placements and higher studies, However, practical exposure is limited so students rely on self learning for real work skills.
Internships Opportunities
At gu, internships opportunities are available through college trainings cells and external applications. Companies like wipro, infosys, tcs and some startups offer roles such as software developer intern, web developer intern etc with stipend ranging unpaid to 10-25k per month.
Placement Experience
From 6th sem students become eligible for campus placements. Various companies visit the university including tcs, wipro, Accenture, Harman, Amdocs and they give on average of 4-5LPA. The highest packet would be arounf 35-40LPA and it was off campus. around 70 percent of the students get placed. I am working now
Fees and Financial Aid
At my time the yearly fee for B.tech Computer science and engineering was 159000. But now it is i guess 160000. Tuition Fee : 1.5 - 1.55 Lakhs Exam Fee : 20,000 Other Charges : 30,000 Price may vary if you opt for hostels etc.
Campus Life
Annual fests like unifest and tec fest are usually held between Fep-April. Library has good collections of books, journals, and digital resourses; easily accessible Classrooms are smart with projectors and wifi with basic tech support Sports include cricket, football, basketball, gym Etc are there. Various clubs like coding clubs, cultural clubs and student groups are there.
Admission
I chose mainly because of its decent placements opportunities. and simple admission process. I had also cosidered Amity but their fee were higher. The admission process was smooth, requiring PCM in 12th with around 50-60 percent, and admission is mainly through CUET or JEE Main with low cutoffs.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is roughly around 1:14 to 1:20, although in larger lectures it can go higher. Most faculty members are approachable, supportive, and wiling to help students with doubts, but the teaching quality is mixed. Some well appreciated teachers such as Ravi Shankar sir, Nitish Nagar Sir are know for explaining concepts clearly and making subjects easy to understand. The course structure is generally industry aligned, combining theory with practicals, but students often feel that more real world and skill based learning is needed. Exams are usually easy to moderate in difficulty, and most students pass if they study basics.
Night Life
Students usually hang out in cafeteria, food courts, campus lawn, and nearby cafes in greater noida. The library and academics areas close by evening, cafeterais run till late evenings and hostels have fixed in timing at night. The locality is generally sage, but students prefer moving in groups at night. These experiences help maintain a good balance between studies and soclal life.
