What Students Say
Likes
- Infrastructure and buildings is good. The labs, libraries and cafeteria are kept clean and in good condition.
- Placements opportunity in this university is higher compare to other universities. You get to choose not only the local companies but also the international companies
- A lot of opportunities to prove yourself are held.
Dislikes
- Management here is worst. The task which can be completed within 10 minutes will take days
- As an international student, I’ve faced racism here even though 80% of students here are international.
- The location of the university. It will take 2 hours to reach city from bus. Very inconvenient especially for hostellers as you get to do nothing in the middle of nowhere
Course Curriculum Overview
So curriculum does their part but I personally think the preparation of curriculum alone will be not enough for you so you have to prepare yourself like curriculum will prepare you 20% and you have to prepare remaining 80% yourself. In my perspective, thehe course curriculum doesn't need any improvement but the teaching method might need to change. The difficulty level of exams fully depends on you as every question in exams comes from within the course covered.
Internships Opportunities
I don't know the name of the companies as I have never applied internship from the college but they will provide you with those opportunities when you are in fourth semester or eighth semester. The project depends upon the role you got and you' have to submit all the outcomes and your experience and other documents to the respective facilities after the completion of your internship
Placement Experience
- colleges starts preparing students for the placement from the starting of third year and they become eligible for placement in fourth year. - our college has good relationships with many companies from local to the international levels - so our college guarantee 100% of students getting placement but I don't think all students get hired - the highest package offered was 4200000 and average package is 800000 - my plans after getting degree is obviously to get hired during college placements
Fees and Financial Aid
- year wise fees I paid is 250000 including hostel fees which is 100000 and remaining 150000 is tuition fees which includes fees like lab fees, development fees etc -one time registration fees of 90000 should be paid along with the tuition fees in first semester - yearly 1500 should be paid as examination fee for two semester exam -they will also ask you to pay 22500 as one time health insurance fees which is optional - I got SII G2 scholarship which means I get 50% off on the tuition fees which was upgraded to JU chancellor by the management - I exactly don't know the total tuition fees but the actual hostel fees was 125000 for 4 sharing which I paid 100000 as other 25000 was covered by scholarship - when I was in first year for the hostel there were two option which was four sharing or two sharing. Two sharing at the time was 160000 - now for first and second year students, they get three sharing instead of four sharing. For first year the three sharing is 165000 and 2 sharing is 210000. I don't know about second year students.
Campus Life
So in my college many fest and festivals are celebrated. One of the major events are ethnic day, infinity night, fashion week, sports week etc Festival like Diwali, dashera, garba night, Krishna Janmashtami, ganpati bisarjan etc - In libraries you'll get all sorts of books, novels from fictional to programming - there are many social groups and clubs which I don't know the name of
Hostel Facilities
-The hostel provides one bed, table, chair and a cupboard for each individual. The room are spacious enough for four people to live comfortably in their own space. For four sharing you'll get two washroom and four fans right above each bed. You'll also get four lights each for you. There is also for windows for each one of you right by your bed. Water comes 24/7 so you can shower whenever you want also you'll get hot water 24/7 from shower as well. - as per the name Jain university you'll get vegetarian meal. The food aren't good but they aren't bad too. The taste of the food will always be same even if the vegetables are different. The quality of the food is okay it's not good but not bad as well. The hygiene and cleanliness are maintained although sometimes it might not be the case. If you are non-vegetarian it will be very difficult for you to adjust - you have to fill some papers and pay the amount. I personally would say hostel have become a bit expensive. As a third year student when I was in first year the actual price of the hostel for four sharing was 125000 and 160000 for two sharing. Now the four sharing is removed and instead three sharing is there. The first year are paying 165000 for three sharing and 210000 for 2 sharing
Admission
- I only applied to this college - I applied to this colleges through an institute. The eligibility was to get at least C+ in each subject on +2 board exam. I came here through the SII scholarship. I had to give an online exam of 90 minutes and when the results were out I applied to this college and days after I got accepted and the offer letter was sent to me by the management
Faculty
- The faculty-to-student relationship depends completely on the faculties as there are professors who are friendly and helpful or tough and egoistic. But most of our professors are chill and very helpful - There are no specific faculties that I liked but there are few of them which I admire and respect as they were very helpful - There are few faculties that I don't like as one of them made a racist comment towards me infront of the whole class and others were very egoistic and not helpful at all. - So in one semester there would be 3-5 exams which are 2 assessments, 2 lab exams and one final semester exams. Lab exams are completely depend on a subject as there would be no lab exams for language subjects like English or management but instead of lab exams there would be other exams for these specific subjects.
Interview Experience
I did gave the exam which was SII scholarship exam other than that I didn't give any other exams or any interviews. So for the SII scholarship exam I prepared from my +2 course only. I did some research online as well.
