Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya : India's first university in transportation and logistics sector

GATI SHAKTI VISHWAVIDAYALAYA being the first India's first transportation university provides unique curriculum including the courses like Design Thinking , Introduction to Rail Engineering (IRSE), Introduction to Multimodal Transportation(IMTE) and various courses on logistics and enterpreneurship and innovation. There are two main exam conducted : 1. Mid semester (25 marks) 2. End semester(25 mars) rest 25 marks are given through various quizzes , viva and projects.

For internship, a separate internship committee is made to make that everyone get their desired internship. In first year you get the chance to do 15 days internship in Indian Railways like in DRMs and in loco sheds. In second year and third year. for 1 months and 2 months respectively.

You get eligible for campus placements once get into 7th semester. Various campanies visit Gsv such as L&T , Alstom ,Seimens etc. The average campus placement is not so good as our first batch graduated in 2024, yet it achieved 100% placements for management courses.

The total annual fee structure is INR 2,72,200 which includes: Tution Fee - INR 1,53,100 Campus Fee - INR 5,000 Caution fee - INR 10,000 Registration fee - INR 35,000 Hostel Fee - INR 50,300 Financial Aid is provided in two different categories : students having annual income above 1 lakh and above 3 lakhs. Scholarship facilities provieded to few meritorious girl students from various companies.

Two big fest are conducted in GSV .1. Agni - The cultural fest 2. Epitome - the tech fest. GSV has two libraries one of GSV itself and another of NAIR. The classroom facilities are not so good. There are various clubs such as tech club , dance club , music club , business club, drama club and many more.

The hostel facility of GSV is outstanding as it provides washrooms attached with the rooms. AC facility is also provided . Immediate remedial of any issue arrsing in hostel. The mess menu is nice as it provides neat and wide range of meals.

I applied in many colleges like LNMIIT , filled forms of JAAC DELHI and Chandigrah. But I the fibal and best college I got was Gati Shakti Vishviadayadaya. The reasons behind choosing Gsv: 1. Best hostel Facility 2. Location in Vadodara , which has best climate. 3. Easy admission procedure.

The faculty to student ratio is quite nice. The faculty is friendly and supportive. The course structure is quite diverse and interesting. Subjects like Introduction to Rail Engineering provides the insight of how actually Indian Railways work , how trains run etc.

The criteria for admission is through Josaa counselling. To acquire admission in Gsv, you need to take the JEE entrance exam and score well . There is no group discussion , interview or written test for admission in GSV.
