Remarks

Overall college is good. Every college has positive and negative aspects. The peer group is too talented, so we get to learn a lot of things from friends. But the admin is too strict like attendance and discipline, so just that is the negative thing.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course curriculum was updated in 2016, so it is in pace with new technologies and research. The course curriculum involves core subjects of computer science as well as engineering. Also we have option to take choice based electives, so one can choose subjects such as Financial Management while pursuing Engineering. The exam structure is pretty old school, comprising of mid semester and end semester exams.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are pretty good, almost all good tech companies visit campus and offer hefty packages. Yes, the college do provide internships, even I have been selected for internship at Gurgaon and they are offering me 50k per month. Highest stipend offered was 1.5 lac/month for internships, and 40LPA for placements.

College Events

3.5

Events such as Moksha- cultural fest Resonance- intracollege cultural fest Innovision- technical fest Sports day- both students and faculty participate in this event. Winter sports- inter branch sports competition.

Fee Structure And Facilities

1.5 L per annum Quite Expensive but people do take loans and pursue their studies. Technical courses as usually expensive. Many bright students get scholarships as well. Fees might not be justified, but the government has decided this.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan is offered. One can avail loan through bank situation inside the college only. Reserved caste students are also given fee waiver. Scholarship is also offered to those who are top 10 in their respective branches.

Campus Life

2.5

Extracurricular activities involve sports. Anybody willing to play any sport can issue the volleyball, basketball, football from sports room, and use the ground whenever they want. Table tennis is also available along with a gym.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is quite strong. NSITians are found almost in every company of the country including your Flipkart. College is quite old so network has become stronger since then. And yes they are really helpful.

Faculty

2.5

Some faculty are good, and knows about their field and encourages research work, others such as new guest faculty are as clueless as the students. Teachers have no practical knowledge, but only theoretical knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is overall good and covers the basics well. That's one of the reason I enrolled in IT department as it gives proper foundation of my tech field. It Helps in studies and also for higher education it can be helpful. If you plan to give GATE, the things which you'll study here can be your well-learned basics for the exam prep but if you want a real job and industry skills we still have to learn more as tech field get updated in every 6 months or 1 year. Exam happens two times as internals and endsem exams, difficulty is not too high it's just average if will prepare well, most of the students passes the exam. The only Improvement I'll say is that course should have the deep teaching of the programing language like something that a student doesn't need to study more on that language otherwise as in academics the curriculum is great.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements and full time offers from the 7th semesters. Companies visit the campus to higher students in the 7 semester for placements and in the 5th semester for internships some of these internships may convert into full time offers. If a student is unable to secure a placement on campus they can sit for placements off campus opportunities. The average package of my branch is around 17 lpa and the highest was 72 lpa.

For core branches like VLSI or ece the opportunities are there companies come for roles like RTL design, verification, physical layout . But it's more competitive than software or IT companies. So you need to be active

The placements are very good, with the average package ranging from 19 to 23 lakhs. Around 72–85% of students secure seats through the placement cell. If you have a CGPA of 6.5 or above, you are eligible to sit in the placement cell; otherwise, you are not eligible. The TNP cell means Training and Placement Cell.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after their 6th semester. Although companies keep coming on the campus from the 5th semester itself for internships and all. Placements here are okayish as the branches offered are not so demanding and companies prefer CSE/IT students for majority of roles in the placement seaon. All big companies visit NSUT main campus and west campus students have the same opportunites to apply on the companies as the placements are centralised given you fulfill the CGPA and branch criteria.
