Likes

Infrastructure of the college. Classrooms are big and spacious, many benches are available, projectors, blackboard etc.
Teachers are very helpful and supportive. They are very knowledgeable
Labs are also big and spacious all computers working correctly.

Dislikes

Canteen is available but it is closed all the time
Gym is also available but it is also close
Hostel food is not good at all! Very oily!

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers teaching method is very impactful and easy to understand the lesson. Syllabus completed before 1 month of semester exam. As the teachers were very punctual and maintained the system.exam timings are also perfect.

Fee Structure: ECE & CSE :- 6000/- per semester EE , CE & ME :- 3000/- per semester Complete course Fee:- ECE & CSE :- 24,000/- for entire course EE, CE & ME :- 12,000/- for entire course Scholarship:- Scholarships available like SVMCM ( Swami Vivekananda Scholarship) student much secure 60% marks in the examination.

Campus Life

Every year few events took place 1) Fest :- For 3 to 4 days it is going one . There are cultural events and technical events tool place . From other colleges students came and took participates in technical events. Gifts were also there for the competitions. 2) Freshers :- This events for 1St year for welcoming them. 3) Saraswati pujo 4)Biswakarma pujo 5) Teachers day 6) 15th August

Admission

1) Its a government college 2) Here semester fees are bery minimal according to the other private colleges 3)Infrastructure is very spacious. 4) Teachers are very helpful and supportive 5) Hostel is well maintained.

Faculty

Student and teacher relationship is very good as teachers always support each and every students. There are 4 cas ( Class assessment)and 2 semesters in a year and 2 pca (practical). As Cooch Behar Government Engineering College is in under makaut board.

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
