Likes

The clg has all the workshop facilities like everything
Highly equipped labs with good facilities and faculty
The campus is vvvv happening like u won’t feel lonely ever

Dislikes

The college takes money at almost every point of time
The administration of the clg is bad no communication over academics but high communication over fees reminders
Location of the clg is v odd as most of the shops are present 7 kms away

Course Curriculum Overview

The course of product design industrial design is one of the best in all clg of India in uid Good wood labs glass labs makers lab All facilitate properly designed The method of teaching is v similar to NID ie govt

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 650000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Per yr fees are around 6.5lac They take a activity fee of 5k And a digital license fee of 11k 3yr internship is compulsory and clg helps u get it GDP course fees are highest and they go abroad Scholarships are not provided I was told but no scholarship was provided for me

Campus Life

This part is the best Best yrs of my life I am still enjoying Best design canpus in India U won't get such a campus life anywhere else We have events every month keep us busy and entertained Overall campus is v lush green and clean

Admission

I applied for mit National institute of design And IIT I got into Cept ahm but Preferred this clg as it's curriculum was better Uid is a old design clg making it better in terms of placement and faculty knowledge

Faculty

The faculty to students ratio is 40 and is pretty good 2 faculty are present in one class There are 3 juries in one semester One mid sem jury One jury just before the final jury And a final jury All juries are properly taken

The curriculum helps to prepare for industrial practice from the base.They make sure we be industry ready after the degree. Faculties are really good and helpful. Some time should be provided for theory lectures are well by the faculty which is somewhat missing.

Detailed analysis of CEPT university from the perspective of a first year student

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a 5 year course with a dedicated foundation year which was a driving factor in chosing this course. The curriculum requires us to actually go in the city and explore different types of manufacturers and makers which taught us a lot about how the real world works. The only improvement i would suggest is having more group activities. There are 2 major submissions in midsem and endsem and they aren't difficult at all if you have completed all your work.

There are 3 stage process of admission. First it is written test. Once we get selected from 1st stage then come situation test and interview. I applied to ISDI,MIT ADT,Pearl Acadeamy,Rubika,MIT ujjain other than UID....and also got the offer letter from all trhe institutes ...but why i chose UID over all was the thought that UID is more heard of than the rest of them and it is also away from home ,,,it is just because of the awesome marketing of the college...Even my institue where I went to prepare for NID were promoting UID ...at that time i thought it is a really reputed college ...but at the end its all business...Read More

Really helpful

The admission process was quite easy, you just needed to give one entrance there were some passing marks which are different for every year. Once you pass the entrance exam they call you for the interview round on the date you select. You need to show your portfolio (whatever good work you have). Then they announce the result via your registered mail. Other than this admissions forms are announced on their official site. It's mostly in the month of December. Best design college which helped me grow into a successful professional

The eligibility for the course is 12th with 60% of marks. Plus, I appeared for the Design Aptitude Test (DAT), ST, and Portfolio Evaluation Test.
