I liked the campus , the infrastructure , it looks like a proper well functioning college
Classes are well furnished , equipped with smart boards
Thing that I like the most is my department of chemical engineering

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum for chemical technology is slightly outdated , chemical engineering is now the new thing . Our department has officially changed the course name , newer one focuses more on coming age topics and is in line with what is being taught across colleges

Class Size: 6Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Placement Experience

College does make you sit for placements , they event infact train you with training and placement classes . They include general aptitude reasoning and then more core subjects focused topics as well .

Fees and Financial Aid

Hostel fee for three bedded non ac is 28,000 Hostel fee for three bedded AC is 50000 Hostel fee for two bedded AC is 60000 Hostel fee for two bedded premium is 70000 Mess few is 22500 Non refundable hostel one time deposit is 10000

Campus Life

Social life is honestly how you want it . There is a student activity centre . Loads of societies , fun activities , join them explore your interests . There's stuff ranging from music to dance to dramatics to art to marketing everything.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is mid tier , wifi isn't there 24*7 it keeps getting disconnected , the warden the staff everyone is okay . You'll have to fight for stuff if you're not local or international though other than that it's fine

Admission

I applied to VIT , Manipal and PSIT , I did get mechatronics and mechanical engineering there but I decided not to join them . To get admission into kiit you need to clear KIITEE exam , which is like jee infact a tad bit easier difficulty wise

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio in my department is excellent. We are 6 people for 1 faculty . Faculties are good , well versed but not actually interesting enough or engaging enough which is something i often find tough to deal with

IIIT Bhubaneswar means technology!

Placement Experience:

Amazon, Google, Wipro, HCL Tech and many such which has been around for a while in the tech business and has built tech for many overseas companies too are the ones which have already started coming. I am in my final year and around 40% students have already been recruited and I hope before this semester ends, i too get placements.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

NOT AN IDEAL COLLEGE BUT DEFINITELY DESCENT

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

KIIT is worth your money without any doubt!!!!

Students generally have to give the KIITEE exam (exam registration can be done from the official college website, https://kiit.ac.in). Admission can also be done through management quota or your jee main score (Information regarding that is regularly updated on the official Kiit website. Reservations: 15% of seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 3% for physically challenged students. Suggested changes: Honestly, the admission process is smooth and easy.
