Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum provides knowledge on topics, which are required to work in a professional professional IT field. and they also teaches on subjects or topics which are growing on real world and avoid teaching topics, which are not used in today's world. The College also revises the curriculum every year and changes the subjects and topics according to real world's needs and trends so that students have knowledge on applications which are used by professionals and company and help us get better placements. Each exams happen two or three weeks gap, mostly and exams are easier, but end semester exam is tougher compare to other exams. CIA one and three are mainly tests or assignments which help us learn more about the subject apart from the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

4

All the students are required to do one month internship twice during their course. Mainly during their third and fourth year so that all students have experience on working in a company. Internship should also must be done in companies related to the course the student is studying and after each internship, students have to give a proper report and presentation on how the internship went and about the projects they did during the internship.

Placement Experience

4

There is 100% placements for Btech Course with average of 600000 per annum package. Different companies come for campus interviews mostly during 7th and 8th semesters and they conduct different rounds of exams and interviews for placements. Some companies also provide internships and placements before 7th semester and give opportunity to students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Christ (Deemed to be University) Kengeri Campus, Bangalore requires 5000 as registration fees. And 5000 for admission fee.The course fee for Btech in CS is 180000 for first and second year and then 200000 for third and fourth year. There is no caution fee, nor any lab fee for Regular category (students who got admission through college admission). For NRI, registration is 8000 and course fee 270000 for first two years and 300000 for last two years but the admission fee is same which is 5000. There is scholarship for students who have more than 70% average. Considering other colleges for Btech course, Christ University provides more affordable fees and admission is through their examination only so equal chance for everyone

Campus Life

4

Overall the college is great place to be in, the campus environment is very eco friendly and vast so no place is over crowded. There are lot of clubs and groups for students to be a part of, they also conduct events so that students who are not in any clubs can participate too. They conduct lot of events like bhatsa utsav, magnificat, blossoms, darpan, tech utsav, engineers day, ethnic day, and so on. College has mainly two large libraries with lot of books for every subjects and topics. They also provide with computers inside the libraries for us to use the internet as well. All the classrooms are smart class with projectors for teachers to use for displaying presentations and videos on different topics extra. College has all kinds of sports from athletics, basketball, football to kabbadi, cricket etc even for the faculties to play with the students.

Admission

One of the best thing i like abiut admission process of this college is its purely based on tests and no managment seats which guve equal opportunity to everyone. I chose this college as it has various courses and opportunities and also students from various places comes to study here which gave me lot of new exposure to different kinds of people which helped me improve my communication and social skills. Other reason to choose this college is that other colleges fees was very high for me so i chose this college.

Faculty

4

Faculty members are less compare to students, but the faculties are very supportive and provide proper guidance, not only on the subject, but also on how to use interview they also provide proper guidance during lab, and if we have any difficulties, they help us find a way. There are mainly four exams. They are called CIA 1, Mid semester examination, CIA 3, End Semester examination. CIA one and three have two components each and for mid semester examination, you required 75% attendance for each subject, and for end semester examination, you need total 85 percentage attendance if you don't have required attendance, you have to pay fine. For mid semester examination, you have to pay 300 for each subject for which you don't have required attendance and for end semester examination, you will have to pay find. According to the attendance you have, which could vary from 2000 to 10,000. Almost 80 percentage of the students, clear the exams, and these exams are relevant because questions cover almost all the topics.

Placement Experience:

Placements at NITK Surathkal are very good overall, and the EEE department consistently sees a high percentage of students getting placed-85% to 90%+ However the placement profiles and salaries vary a lot depending on whether you go core electrical jobs , software/IT jobs we students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester companies start arriving fro pre placement talks and tests ,some students also get PPOs done in the 3rd year summer internshis companies visiting nitk for eee students are: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC SIEMENS ABB L&T TATA POWER BOSCH. My personal plans after getting degree is either get placed in a good company then later prepare for civils services examination.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placement on final year, they have to maintain their grad points in every semister about 8 for a good package. Even some times grade points level down in front of skills and other courses made externally, so skill development is most important. Some of the companies like Wipro, L and T, Isro, Tech mahindra, Skanray, Keynes and so on were their on campus. But our many faculties help every student who is need of a job, with every possible off campus placements. Placment department are trying their best for all skilled, top rank and low rank students for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since my kcet rank was low I want a good clg so I choose this college I choose electrical and electronics. also I'm very interested in electrical department I wanted eee branch so I choose this Curriculum actually helps you to learn and solve real world problems since it's a core branch you have to concentrate on our syllabus. We get to learn lot of things also we have 4 labs there you can learn practically . In our clg they additionally we have lab Called skill lab there you can learn lot of things additionally . I feel they should add some programming language as subject in eee additionally even though we learn that in 1st year there should be continuous so . Even our colleges provide boot camps for 10 days every sem where experienced trainer will come and teach you but I feel that's not enough they have include programming languages as our part of curriculum. In internals they provide 1hour time for for 30 marks and sem exams 3hr for 100 marks so it's manageable .
