What Students Say
Likes
- The amount of labs available for engineering students is great , they provide a lot of facilities
- They have an incubation cell which provides funding to students and their project or buisness ideas
- The huge greenery filled campus , it's very relaxing and a fun campus
Dislikes
- The canteens could be better , Kengeri campus does not have good canteens compared to other christ campuses
- The dress code is very strict , while it's good to have a strict dress code it's too formal all the time
- The attendance policy is too much , 85% or we have to pay fines
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose robotics and mechatronics since it combines hardware, software and ai integration, I feel it's very future proof I'm in first year so I'm waiting for the subjects to start , but I heard the curriculum is good Not sure The internals feel a bit conjested with events and everything coming all at the same time , but it's manageable for the most part
Placement Experience
I think students are eligible from 6/7 semester, a lot of companies have visited our college, so many that I don't even remember, JP Morgan is the highest package as far as I know , the average package is around 8LPA , most of the students tend to get placed , I plan to start my own service based company after college
Fees and Financial Aid
It's around 2.4L per year for non karnataka students , they don't charge much of anything like exam fees or lab fees after this initial fees , so it's good value , I didn't get any scholarships but they do provide such facilities
Campus Life
This university has SO many events , blossoms , daksh , magnovite , magnificat etc etc , they also have a very vast online and offline library which includes lots of subscriptions to journals etc, they have smart boards in classes , projectors , etc The labs here are amazing
Admission
I applied to vit , amirtha and a bunch of other colleges in tamil nadu aswell , to which I got in , but I choose christ for it's college life and the city... I got rejected from this university at first but I tried again and got in , not sure why I got rejected The only way to get in is through the christ entrance and interview, the eligibility is straight forward, 50% in PCM
Faculty
We have a lot of staffs... Not sure about the exact ratio but more than 95% of them are phd doctors as far as I know , they're also friendly so far in first year for the most part , not mentioning any names for now... In first year there are 12 subjects , so we have 12 exams for 2 semesters , around around 20% of the students fail in the first attempt but the college provides lots of care into helping them clear the subject
Night Life
They have gyms and other things to do till evening inside campus , outside campus there's not much to do since it's in the outer part of the city , inside campus KNS is very famous and outside it's shaid darbar
