Course Curriculum Overview

3

i chose computer science as i am interested in cyber security. The curriculum does provide real world application etc and there are specific classes called placement training which help you with your aptitude and presentaion skills. The frequency of exams is alright and difficulty level is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

4

amazon ,siemens ,cognizant, tcs offer placements and more than 90% in the placement batch are placed. The highest package recieved by a student was 32l and the average is about 6-8L. about 70-80% of students got internships in my course. placement training course is provided from first year and about 2 hours per week is dedicated for it.

Placement Experience

3

students are eligible for placements in their last year and if any students secures a good internship they could continue with that as well.A lot of companies visited our college and tcs, cisco and corizzo. the highest placement was 32lpa and the lowest is 40k per month. and the placement percentage was more than 90% for the placement batch.

Fees and Financial Aid

the year wise fee for btech in computer science is 2,20,000 and had to pay 5000 more as admission fee. the yearly fee is increasing and for second year i paid 2000 more which is 2,22,000. They have not asked any extra fees for lab etc. If you are interested in doing honors or minors itll cost extra over your yearly fee.

Campus Life

4

an annual fest hosted in magnovite and there are many technical fest being held atleast one every 2 months. The college funds the fests and a good amout is given as price money. inter college fest is held every year is a nice experience with things such as dj night and live concert. there are sports teams and coaching every evening and gym facility is also present. there are many student run clubs present and is really fun

Admission

i applied for various colleges through kcet such as jss, dayanand sagar. i got a seat in pes through pessat but the course fee was 4.5L which was expensive so i chose not to join. The admission process for christ is a bit different as there are two levels to it. one is a mcq type test and the other one is an interview which you have to attend where they test you for various stuff such as speaking and check your knowledge.

Faculty

5

the faculty present here are very approachable and friendly and treat you good. benson k mani was our physics professor and was really chill and friendly and helped us if there were any problems we encountered. all the faculty i encountered are approachable. We had a situation where we had too much workload and had our third internals coming up so we requested our faculty to change the exam from written to an assignment and they agreed this shows how they are understanding. we have 3 internals called cia 1 cia 2 and cia 3 and an end sem exam for 100 marks. cia 1 is for 20 marks and cia 2 is for 50 and cia 3 is for 20 as well cia 2 is always a 50 mark written exam where as cia 1 and 3 can be either a project mcq presentation or a written test.

Night Life

4

there is gym present in the college and its paid. there are many cafeterias present around 7-8 and coffee day is also present in college. there are two big cafeteria called north and south canteen offering variety foods and a lot of small food stalls. A huge library is also present which spans about 2 floors and provides computers as well. there are many hangout locations such as student square and amphitheatre. the campus is lush green.Night life is non existant as you are not allowed outside hostel after 9 or 10pm

the placements oppurtunity are there and you can grab a very good paackage from here. The highest is around 44 , average is 7 lpa. Students become eligible for final placemnts from 6-7 semester. Companies like thermo fisches , fractal , belc , hitachi and many other, have visited. The percentage of placemnt is quite high but people grabbing more than 30lpa is very few. after degree i want to go for job directly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly I don't a thing about the relevance of the curriculum, this curriculum thingy has been changing every now and then in our college I hope atleast they stick to one curriculum and make us study that and don not change it further. As I've mentioned before, I was not informed in prior about the syllabus so obviously there's no specifi aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course. I think the curriculum will prepare me to face the world way more wisely and strategically than how I'd deal with it otherwise. I think one area they can improve is in physics, they can give us more seminars, projects and stuff to check our understanding. That would really help a lot of people to be creative and help people to get the exposure. Coming to the difficulty level of the paper, I know nothing because I haven't written the sem exam yet so, I know nothing. But, can guarantee one thing!! Be careful, cause as per sources our college is known for it's tough question paper, so y'all better study.
