Course Curriculum Overview

3

Honestly I don't a thing about the relevance of the curriculum, this curriculum thingy has been changing every now and then in our college I hope atleast they stick to one curriculum and make us study that and don not change it further. As I've mentioned before, I was not informed in prior about the syllabus so obviously there's no specifi aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course. I think the curriculum will prepare me to face the world way more wisely and strategically than how I'd deal with it otherwise. I think one area they can improve is in physics, they can give us more seminars, projects and stuff to check our understanding. That would really help a lot of people to be creative and help people to get the exposure. Coming to the difficulty level of the paper, I know nothing because I haven't written the sem exam yet so, I know nothing. But, can guarantee one thing!! Be careful, cause as per sources our college is known for it's tough question paper, so y'all better study.

Fees and Financial Aid

My category is SC, and my fees is 49600, it is as same as of students of other category. Compared to other colleges, the fee of our college is less and it makes it affordable to everyone and our college has a good reputation so the placement record is also quite good. There's no extra/hidden fees taken by the management in the name of caution fees, tution fees, lab fees etc etc. The only fees they make you pay other than the 49600 is the exam fee which is off 2305 rs, which has to be paid every sem for you to write the sem exam. Coming to the scholarships, UVCEGA provides students with high cgpa/under 10k rank in KCET, with a scholarship of upto 50000. Also our college approves both NSP and SSP scholarships.

Campus Life

4

Campus life depends on us, yes we do have a lot of events but the participation is in your hands, you write your destiny. Coming to the list of events in UVCE: Vaibhava, MILAGRO, KAGADHA, IMEPETUS, BHAG UVCE BHAG, IEEE day, JUGAAD, INTRAMUN, etc etc. • Library is always accessible except the lunch hours, for btech student it has numerous books and library staff are friendly as well. •Tech facilities aren't quite enormous in our college at this point but yeah, we're working towards that. • We have an excellent sport management team, each and every athelete is encouraged to practice and perform their sport. • A student run r/UVCE subreddit exists for you to rant, complain or praise. A HUB-MYUVCE app exists that tracks your attendance, and shows how you can catch or how many classes you can bunk.

Hostel Facilities

3

•Hostel room is really small, it can gives claustrophobic peeps literal heart attack. I don't like it one bit. The bunker beds are so noisy, not stable, if a overweight person climbs up it will make sure to wake the people around, such is the noise. •Review of the menu: Repetitive menu, no change atleast once in a month. Food quality is good. •Obviously you need to bring a group of attested copy of documents here, also need to bring acknowledgement, admission order, and distance certificate. •The hostel is highly affordable, cause obviously it's a govt hostel.

Admission

• I got my seat through KCET exam, so basically in my order priority UVCE was the 5th college and I knew that I'll not get the other 4 colleges because I knew my score, cutoffs of those colleges and my category reservations too well. Why I chose this college was simple, I knew for a fact that it was affordable. • Coming to the rejection part it was never like doorstep rejection it was just the feeling of shit-I-wanted-it. As they say, whatever happens it happens for something good, and now that I see how the colleges I happened to get are charging, I feel good for not getting in. • The admission process began when KEA website announced the 2nd rounds results of KCET and opened the admission portal. We had to pay fees to the KEA portal and generate a payment receipt/challan after that we'd recieve a admission order, then we had to go to the allotted college and show the admission order and go with our attested documents signed sealed and present it and tada admission done.

Faculty

3

I really dunno about the faculty to student ratio cause, our college is too vast, I don't even know the number of classrooms let alone the number of faculties. The faculties I liked the most Pallavi ma'am, HSS sir, Nandini ma'am. Pallavi ma'am because honestly when we complained against her, we honestly thought that she'll be indifferent to us from then on, but no, she decided to teach us more carefully. She literally improved and was really humble. HSS sir because sir has always been really sweet, may it be sending notes PDFs on time, may it be about attendance, may it be about lab experiments, his teaching is simply fab. Nandini ma'am for her crisp teaching, on point explanations, not getting distracted and not letting us get distracted as well. The faculties I didn't like, Atony Sir, Maths Sir. The reason for not liking both of them is quite the same, I don't understand their English, because they speak too fast, I don't understand their handwriting as well.

Night Life

3

Nightlife for me is dead. I go to my room and sleep at night, because for me it doesn't really matter. But that doesn't mean I don't hangout or unwind after class, and a spot I use is the samosa angadi right beside the college gate, or maybe the panipuri stall at a Lil distance, and if you're on a tight budget, to the left of the college gate we have an uncle selling these small 10rs happiness like chaklis, dry jamoons, shankarapali etc etc. Library closes off by 4:30pm • Hostel closes at 7:30pm, •Our college is the heart of the city and I believe it's safe, never tried roaming at night btw.

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities
