What Students Say

Likes

Infrastructure is good ,provide facility like wifi , ac , digital library
College environment is very good , college always organise event in which they invite celebrities
Discpline there are lot of departments are made for the students like department of students welfare

Dislikes

Teachers are not much experienced and not highly qualified
Attendance criteria is very poor always need to maintain 75% otherwise you will not allowed to sit in exam
Management is very poor ,sometimes you will get notifications last hour for holidays

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum provided by the college is moderate level you can pass the exam easily but the main problem is teacher in this college you will not get teacher who will teach you to standard level they will only teach you the basic.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 750000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement is not too good comapny visit here but the major problem is no. of students , there are more than 5000 students in cse department so taking placement is quiet tough , you get will get opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

1) 180000(yearly batch 2025) 2) 50000( Exam fee batch 2025) 3) Schlorship available (i got 50% scholarship every sem on tution fee) 4) other batches fees diffe. 5) I secured 50% scholarship in cucet exam and to avail in evey semester you need to maintain cgpa 7.5 , otherwise scholarship will not be provided.

Campus Life

My overall campus experience was awesome i gof log of opportunities to visit in the event participate in the events like hackathon, good exposure to carrer and ragging free campus , discplined, i enjoy a lot here.

Admission

I choose this college only because of scholarship i also applied in kiit and i got the seat in cse but the fees of kiit is very high comparatively that's why i have choosen this college. If you get the scholarship and you are hardworking then this college is best in your budget.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is good but teachers are not experienced many teacher after doing btech are teaching yo btech students . The quality of eduction provided by techer is not good only sufficient to pass the college exam.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
