Course Curriculum Overview

3

The latest course curriculum is good as they provide 20 MCQ in every 100 mark paper,so it had become much easy for students to pass the exam. The sloka is mandatory in exams which is a drawback that finds too much time consumption to students and the Sanskrit language is also very difficult. Each exams have 3hrs which is sufficient as only 80 marks questions need to be written reaming 20 marks are MCQ

Fees and Financial Aid

The College has vast area and the classrooms are digital classrooms. Clinical exposure is average. Practical Classes are above average. Teacher's are strict but the management is kind and Good. HOSTEL The college provides hostel for only girls with a yearly fee of 30,000 as hostel rent and Mess payment is separate monthly which ranges from 4k-5k,Food in the hostel is pathetic and worst but the highlight is many PG Facilities are available within 2km range. And Bus facility is provided by college from Pandalam private bus stand to college in four times 8AM 9AM 4PM 5PM,so its an aid for day scholars. Anyone can avail the Bus by just paying a 10rs per ride. EXAMS Internal Exams and Model exams are tough and strict. Attendance is a must factor as per university norms which is 80% to write university exams. Condonation is alowed only once in the entire course which is 555Rs per paper. FEES SC, ST, OEC are totally government funded they pay merely no fees. Management and Merit fees for General Category (almost same)are:- 1st yr - 2lakh + 75,000(special fee)+10,000(Caution Deposit) 2nd yr - 2lakh + 58000 3rd yr - 2lakh + 58000 4t h yr - 2lakh +58000 2 lakh + 58000 In Final year you need to pay fees two timee. After course complete of 4½ yr you need to attend internship in the hospital of the same institution which is just nearly 100m from college campus.

Admission

I got admission in Nangelil Ayurveda college Kothamangalam and Sree Narayana Ayurveda college kollam, I rejected both colleges because the present college is near my house which is just 20km. NEET is the main criteria exam , We can get admission through NEET counselling or KEAM counseling or through spot admission in college, for al of them NEET should be cleared

Department - Faculties 1.Rachana sharir - 2 2.Kriya Sharir - 2 3.Samhita and Siddantha - 3 4.Dravya guna - 4 5.Rasa and Bhaishyjya - 3 6.Rog Nidana -2 7.Agada Tantra -2 8.Swastha vruthha - 2 9.Bala Roga -2 10.Prasuti Tantra- 3 11.Kaya Chikitsa - 3 12.Panchakarma - 2 13.Shalya Tantra - 2 14.Shalakya Tantra - 2 Total 14 department and 34 Professors None of them are best as the teaching is not very good, Literally I gained nothing from teacher's as they teaches nothing they teaches according to their convenience and the approach of them towards students are very arrogant. The worst department is Shalakya Tantra and Kaya Chikitsa as they teaches nothing we can understand. We are under 2016 scheme, Which having 4 university exams every year and last exam after 1 and a half year gap. Our Pass Percentage is 60%, 40% students fail.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Ayurveda is also very important part of medical field. It brings a lot of treatment aspects and life style betterment. There are practical significance of all the knowledge into life. Hospitals here is very much well equipped and doctors are skillful so it's very good platform for learning to treat the disease and at the same time learning for prevention of disease. Some of the portions should be re evaluate. They should not make shloka compulsory and eliminate some old theories which are not going to accept. Should combined with modern medicine and teach a hybrid model or Intregate course.
