Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus thought is upto date. Could be hard to catch up with due to vast syllabus. But education is top notch. It helps us in the clicinal classes too while interacting with patients highly relevant. Both modern and ayurvedic parts are included

Internships Opportunities

After completing four years. Paid internship is provided for 1 year which is compulsory. Stipend is around 15000- 25000 approx (not sure). Research opportunities are also there. Good exposure to the feild

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees is usually near 17000 for each student with doesn't get increased usually. Highly affordable. Hostel fees is nearly 250 per month and mess food has separate charges. E grants are usually provided for minority state students

Campus Life

Campus life is not that happening. There are fests which are great but not upto the mark. There are clubs present like magazine club etc.which can be joined... Infrastructure is good and spacious. There are in total 3 campus which are away from each other. 2 ladies hostel and 1 men s hostel

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is usually provided and very cheap in prices. Rent is near 350 and mess fees cones diff each month but nearly 3000-3500 per month Meals provided are usually South Indian good in quality but not according to North indian taste

Admission

Getting neet cleared was diff and it self was a task. There are diff cut offs for diff students 2 types of admission process occurs state quota and all india quota. All india quota has nearly 14 seats rest are state quota. Admission starts after first round of mbbs admissions

Teachers are highly educated and easily approachable. And very patient with students. Makes us grasp the concept. Little strict but that keeps us on the tracks. Per subject usually 4-5 teachers. Each having their unique way.clinical knowledge is brilliant due to more no of patients

Course Curriculum Overview:

Ayurveda is also very important part of medical field. It brings a lot of treatment aspects and life style betterment. There are practical significance of all the knowledge into life. Hospitals here is very much well equipped and doctors are skillful so it's very good platform for learning to treat the disease and at the same time learning for prevention of disease. Some of the portions should be re evaluate. They should not make shloka compulsory and eliminate some old theories which are not going to accept. Should combined with modern medicine and teach a hybrid model or Intregate course.

The latest course curriculum is good as they provide 20 MCQ in every 100 mark paper,so it had become much easy for students to pass the exam. The sloka is mandatory in exams which is a drawback that finds too much time consumption to students and the Sanskrit language is also very difficult. Each exams have 3hrs which is sufficient as only 80 marks questions need to be written reaming 20 marks are MCQ

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Chose this Course as it is Emerging more Effective in the past Few Years and I believe I could contribute more in this field. Moreover I was Interested in the Ancient Cultural form and the uniqueness of the Science of Ayurvedic Medicines and Treatment Methods. There are 14 Departments in the College including Both Clinical and Non Clinical aspects. Each Department Has about 6-7 Faculties Incuding HOD, Assistant and Associate Professors.At Present there are 5 batches of Students in the Undergraduate Course Excluding the House Surgeons. So about 360 Stuents total.There are about 200 Students in Various Post Graduate Course. The Faculties are appointed through Government Exams and Interviews and are Eligible after the BAMS degree and PG Qualification in respected departments with Experience of teaching. The method of teaching is very Systematic with periodic assessments. As per new NCISM rule term Exams are once in each 18 months and Can be passed through Systemic studying and activity.

In focus of the course it was very clear that ayurveda is more develop in Kerala and this college is situated in the capital . My thought was simple that there will me more patient and It will help me for practical experience. I also kept BHU, ITRA, NIA and few others college too but as my rank was 49k so I didn't get it. For admission in this college you have to crack NEET and according to counseling by AACCC you can get this college. There is 15% all india quota and 85%state quota. Since the admission was from neet ranks I applied for both bhms and bams. First I got admitted to government homeopathy college TVM and then during the later allotment stages I was transferred to government ayurveda College TVM. I got a rejection from kottakkal ayurveda College Malappuram cause of lack of seats there. I got admitted to government dental college Alappuzha but I opt for bams at TVM college.
