National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur (NIA Jaipur) is the apex autonomous institute established in 1976 under the aegis of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. NIA Jaipur is the first Central Government Institute to be declared as a deemed university in the field of Ayush. The institute is affiliated to the Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur. NIA has been accredited with Grade “A” by NAAC.

NIA Jaipur offers academic programs at all levels in the field of Ayurveda. Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is the flagship course offered at NIA, along with postgraduate MD/MS programs in Ayurveda and six interdisciplinary M.Sc. courses. NIA Jaipur also offers a PhD in Ayurveda and a Diploma Course in AYUSH Nursing & Pharmacy. The institute offers BAMS based on NEET UG, followed by AYUSH NEET Counselling. NIA Jaipur Scholarship 2025

A variety of financial aid programs and scholarships are offered by the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur, to deserving students.These include state and federal post-matric scholarships offered by the government to students from SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and minority groups. The college provides almost every basic facility to the students as well as to the faculty of teachers to enhance their experience and knowledge. Some of the major facilities are as follows:-

Wi-Fi-Enabled Campus: Wi-Fi Networking Facility has been provided in the entire Campus for the benefit of Teachers, Officers, Scholars, Students, and Staff for various teaching, training, research, patient care, other technical and administrative matters, etc. There is facilitated mobile access to Internet Facilities in the entire buildings on the Campus, accommodating Teaching Departments, Laboratories, Library, Class Rooms, Offices, Hostels, etc., etc.

Hostels: The Institute has hostels for UG Students, PG and Ph.D. Scholars with 445 Seats in the Campus and at Jawahar Nagar. TV LCDs, Guest Rooms, Refrigerators, Water Coolers, RO Water Purifiers, Lifts, Solar Water Heating Systems, and Newspaper facilities are provided in all the Hostels.

IT Center: The Institute is hosting its Website and has a well-equipped and well-furnished IT Centre with Broadband Internet, Scanning, Printing, and other computer-related facilities is functioning in the Institute. Library: The Institute has a good Library having publications on various subjects on Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Allopathy, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Science, etc. Reading room facilities are provided where current and latest journals, magazines, bulletins, and leading national and local dailies are made available. During the year under report, 307 new publications were added. The number of library books, including reference and research publications, has now risen to 23,360. 112 Journals and Newspapers were subscribed for the Reading Room, and 1,676 annual volumes of Journals were available for reference and research purposes. The Book Bank has 4,643 books for distribution to students of each class on merit-cum-need basis.

Pharmacy: The Pharmacy is equipped with modern equipments and machineries like Micro Pulveriser, Disintigrator, Shifter, Mixer, Mini Pulveriser, Pouch-making Machine, Cutting/Chopping Machine, Dryer, Granulator, Tablet Making Machine, Strip Packing Machine, electric Furnaces, Juicer, Bottle Washing Machine, Diesel Furnace, End Runner, Pill Thread Making and Pill Cutting Machine, Coating Pan, Capsule Filling Machine, Pouch Packing Machine, Liquid Filling Machine, Capsule Sealing Machine, Weighing Machines, Mass Mixer, Wet Grinder, Dehumidifier, Scrubber, Dryer, Vacuum Cleaner etc. Conventional equipment is also available and is put to use in the method of preparation, wherever necessary.

My experience in nia jaipur

Dislikes

Campus size looks small and playground is not well managed
They're very strict with attendance so one should be concerned about his/her attendance

Yes i did give neet exam after that i found out that am suitable for nia for the year cut offs that i was expecting and also what i saw on internet gave me such idea and after that i got this college and then there's no high end process for admission you just have to follow the instructions that's it

12th with 50% in PCB and english and a good score in neet exam , u can apply through aaccc website. reservation as all other medical colleges. Term exam in every six months and University exam in 1.5 year. Admission process is very easy

The best ayurveda institute of the world

Our hospital because there's a lot of rush there and a lot of patients so we can learn a lot from those patients
Our labs are very fully equipped with modern tools for example we have a virtual dissection table vr headsets for studying physiology expensive dummys to study various human functions
Our library, it has almost every book you need, we also have digital library, computer facilities, research papers and journals

Dislikes

Our campus size its a little small and should have been bigger
I did not like that there are not much trips organised by our college

Admission:

The eligibility of course is that you should have completed 12th grade education with physics chemistry and biology. The eligibility test is the national eligibility cum entrance test i.e. NEET. Once you give neet and the results are announced then ayush department has a portal called aaccc where the ayush counseling takes place. The reservation criteria is the same as followed all over india. The course duration is 5.5 years with 4.5 years of education and 1 year internship. The 4.5 years are divided into 3 proffs of 1.5 year each. There are term exams every 6 months and 3 period assessment in each term (6 month). The admission process was quite simple oncethe counseling starts you have to fill the colleges of your preference then according to your rank you get a college allotted. Then you have to go to the College and submit all the required documents along with the admission fees.

I am a student in BAMS's first year at the National Institute of Ayurveda de novo University, Jaipur. Currently NIA, Jaipur is the top ayurvedic University in the country either in terms of facilities or cut off it is the top college in India and the first choice of the candidates when it comes to opting for the bams as a career.

BAMS course review at NIA

Admission:

So the basic criteria are to qualify for a neet exam with a good neet score to get a chance in BAMS basically cut off was around 450 marks in 2018 when I have given exam About reservation yes there is a reservation opportunity by which you can get admission for Sc/st cut off was around 300 to 400 For obc =400 or above Gen = 450 To get admission you have to attend counseling by submitting 10 000 rupees which is basically a refundable amount In counseling you have to submit your documents and take an allotment letter for that college which you have to choose after counseling what you have to do is just attend a college.

NIA Jaipur offers academic courses at all levels in the field of Ayurveda. NIA Jaipur is one of the most prestigious institutes to pursue education in Ayurveda in India.

NIA Jaipur offers BAMS at the undergraduate level on the basis of NEET UG.
Candidates with a valid score in NEET UG have to then appear for AYUSH NEET Counselling.
The institute offers MD and MS in Ayurveda at the postgraduate level in multiple specializations.
For admission to MD/MS at NIA Jaipur, candidates must have a valid score in AIAPGET.
National Institute of Ayurveda also offers six interdisciplinary M.Sc. courses at the PG level.
Apart from the UG & PG courses, NIA offers Ph.D. on the basis of a Screening Test and Interview.

NEET is not required for admission to NIA Jaipur courses. Admission to the UG courses is done on the basis of DSRRAU entrance test and to the PG courses on the basis of NIA JPGET.
