Likes

The fact that professors are ready to adapt their ways of teaching with respect to the students. Also they try to make sure that students' time is not wasted when any faculty is unavailable.

Dislikes

Many professors aren't yet acquainted well with the smart boards and face difficulties while teaching due to this. A few use their hands instead of styluses.

Course Curriculum Overview

The biggest factor affecting my choice was availability of seats. I wanted CS/IT but I had to settle for AI&DS. A few outdated concepts are taught like the C language for example. In my opinion, the curriculums must be revised every year to cover the technological advancements.

Placement Experience

The placement statistics are decent. 21 LPA was the highest while 4 LPA was the average this year. I am planning for masters after completing BE so I don't really care a lot about campus placements. I do want to pay my own fees though so a decent package would do it for me.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid roughly 1,14,000 Rs as fees for the BE course in this college from AI&DS branch. This fee covers everything from Tution fees to exam fees. Tution fee : Rs 96069 Development fee : Rs 13931 Other fee : Rs 1500 ASY LIC Charges : Rs 701 Total : 1,12,201 Additionally, the exam fee was Rs 1650. As I belong to the Open category, I did not get any Category-specific Scholarships and benefits. Although, I availed the benefits from the MahaDBT scholarship valued 25,000 but I am yet to receive the amount. This scholarship is for students with an HSC Boards score of 80% and above.

Campus Life

Many festivities are held like Garba for example. Events organised by the college and students are nice as well. The College does have a good number of clubs to enhance a student's personality and to gain them some experience.

Admission

I got admitted to PES Modern College of Engineering in IT branch through the MHT CET CAP round. I got admitted to my current college through ACAP/SPOT rounds. The SPOT rounds were conducted smoothly by the college. The Principal was himself involved in the process and made sure that no student suffered any injustice. Unlike a few colleges, the timings for the spot rounds were followed by the college itself. The college had a limited number of applicants for ACAP seats, hence there was no chaos.

Faculty

Faculty members are approachable and don't mind students talking to them.? Most don't get irritated when students ask doubts ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Sem 6 is considered preferable for the college placement many students starts getting placed from that, many companies like wipro, mahindra & mahindra, tcs, capgemini, etc. visits each year to the college each and every students gets atleast a offer to them few also gets more than one like 2 to utmost 3 also,750+ students got offered at the final year of 2023 if we include internship offer than it goes more than 1200, in campus highest package was 12lacs off campus was 62lacs, (85%)+ of the students gets placed each year in the college. After i get degree i would try for college placements and would also focus parallely for the off campus placements too, and ofc wherever i will get the highest placement i would go for it.

A+ Grade from NAAC and great college for placement

Placement Experience:

This college has a very big Alumni network. Because this college is started in 1982. And its highest package is 300000 and its average package is 4.5 lakh. And the graph of placement increases year by year.

I chose this college because this college is very reputed in Pune for engineering specially electrical engineering. Admission process - You should apply through CAP process to get admission in this college. MHTCET + JEE, both scores can get you admitted in this college as there is also an all India quota. After the CAP processes are completed, you can also attend it's spot round as they are also conducted in a very systematic manner. Why this college over others? This is one of the top colleges In pune. This was the reason for me to choose this college. Comparing pvg with colleges like aissms, dy patil, modern, and many more pvg is far better in terms of placements. Didn't had the marks required to get to other colleges like vit viit pict coep pccoe etc so I choose pvg. I got a confirmed admission for keystone college but it is worse that pvg so I chose pvg. To get admission in pvg college you need to fill a form of cet. Mht cet is one of these examples. If you have passed 12th standard then apply for mht cet.
