Likes

Infrastructure is moderate. The Senior faculty of my department gives a good guidance for Smart India Hackathon organized by government of India.
Ready to help when we have a doubt regarding publishing the research paper, or any other doubt from curriculum point of view.

Dislikes

Average package of the companies who hire for software engineering positions can be improved.
Very few companies in the count of 1-4 companies comes for Data Related Job Roles i.e. Data Analyst, Data Scientist, and Data Engineer. The companies count can be increased.

Course Curriculum Overview

I would like to rate the course curriculum in the range of 3 to 3.5. If possible, try to include the concepts which are currently used in the industry and also take hands-on sessions on those concepts as well.

Internships Opportunities

The college gives updates regarding internship opportunities and openings. Through various seminars and workshops conducted in our college, a proper roadmap is provided to grab an internship or placement.

Placement Experience

In my department, placements started at the end of the Third Year. From a fresher point of view, even if he/she didn't have any internship experience and if he/she gets hired through On-Campus mode, the average package varies from 3-4 Lakhs Per Annum and the Highest Package goes up to 6-8 Lakhs Per Annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a graduate of the class of 2025, having been admitted in 2021. Below is the fee structure, I paid from the first year to the fourth year: First Year: INR 13,378 Second Year: INR 3,019 Third Year: INR 3,141 Fourth Year: INR 3,341 The tuition fees are INR 84,822 for every category. However, the net fees for the Computer Engineering Department from 2021 to 2025 ranged approximately between INR 90,000 to 1.5 Lakhs per year. These figures will likely vary for future computer engineering graduates. From a scholarship perspective, some of my colleagues applied for the scholarships provided by the government of Maharashtra.

Campus Life

There are various committees in our college. In my department, there are 2 committees. They are: the Computer Society of India(CSI), and Google Developer Students Club(GDSC). Various workshops and seminars are organized by the Computer Society of India(CSI) which plays a crucial role in enhancing technical knowledge. There are a diverse variety of books and journals available in our library.

Admission

I preferred this college bcoz the college is at a total distance of 35 km from my home when compared to the total distance of other Engineering colleges in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. During the College Option Form round, I applied to various colleges but, my MHTCET score did not satisfy the other engineering college's MHTCET cutoff score.

Faculty

If we look to get hired for a software engineer role, then fundamental questions are asked from subjects like Database Management Systems (DBMS), Operating Systems (OS), Computer Networks(CN), and Object-Oriented Programming(OOPS). So, for these subjects, the syllabus is more than enough to prepare.

Night Life

There is no such best place to hangout outside the campus. Hostels are within walking distance from the campus. The locality outside the college campus is safe to roam anytime during the entire day. The college usually starts from 10:00 a.m. and ends at 4:45 p.m. or 5:45 p.m.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As this college is under mumbai university so this college cannot modify syallbus in their own the have to strictly follow the university prescribe syallbus,academic timelines,rules and norms of the mumbai university. I have taken the admission in this college in the year 2024 from this year the NEP-2020 was adopted by the every indian universities and instituites. Since NEP-2020 was adopted also by mumbai university some new subjects are added to the syallabus that are oriented to financial literacy,Entreprenuianl,indian laws related subjects the syallubus of this subject is very good to see in the syallabus pdf. But the ground reality is different this subject is not given much importance by faculties the are treated as not much important subject as their are not related to our course as a result the students also take these subjects lightly.Also the professors appointed for this subjects are not much good they appoint the faculties who are recent graduates of their college who are working now as a professor in the same college. The college treat this subject lectures as an practice for the fresh faculties to gain experience of how to teach students. The core subject syallbus is same not changed the mumbai university has just changed the name of the subject. The college professors just teach the subject but they do not teach in that way that it makes us ready for real world problems.And also in the first year all the subjects are common for all the branches of the engineering which consist of subject like physics,chemistry,mechanics,Basic electrical Electronics,Engineering Graphics. It is my opinion why should an student who is studying an course called Computer Engineering so why should i read the subjects of the other branches like civil,mechanical,electrical and electronics in my first year instead of my domain subjects for whole two semester and the timespan of almost an year

from 6th semester students get eligible for placemnets and from 4th semester students get eligible for internships. Dell, Oracle Tcs and many more such companies have visited the college The highest package is 50 lpa for MCA in computer science while the highest for B.TECH CSE is 44.14 lpa. Many good companies such as J.P. Morgan and Goldmann sachs have also come here for placements. The average package is 6lpa. Approximately from Computer science across 70 to 80 percent students are getting placed every year. After my B.tech Degree I would be pursuing my Masters degree from abroad.

Datta meghe is moderate tier 3 college, i choose this college because it is near my home and my cousin also studied from this college it is good . I am trying for VIT Mumbai which my aim to get but cut off of this college is high. I got this college through Mhtcet exam, and yes I opted for other college too but the cutoff for branch i wanted was too high in other college so i had to take admission in DMCE. talking about the admission process you can take admission through 2 ways: Official goverment rounds or management rounds. Majority of students take admission from cap round which accepts both Mhtcet and JEE examination. 90% of students get admission by Mhtcet exam.
