Remarks

The fee was on the expensive side . And there should be scholarship to some needy people as well. I had my best time over there .I grew as a person over there. Had some problems here and there . But thats life . Made some great friends.i still cherish those memories.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

We had semester system .there was lots of quizzes also which would ultimately add up to your internals . In one semester we had like 10 subjects including practicals also . All of the marks are calculated and added then we were assigned our corresponding grades.

Placement Experience

4

The placement and the job opportunities were very well placed in our hands. Lots of companies came into our campus for recruitment. And students got there ijob which suited them the most. Almost every day a new company would come for the recruitment .

College Events

4.5

We had like 2 national level college festival . One was algorithm and other techleon .in algorithm the students were more focused on the extra curricular activities like modelling music dancing etc. But techeleon was about welcoming the new ideas we had for engineering fields .

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was slightly on the expensive side. One semester fee was about sixty thousand (60000) and then there was hostel fee as well .which would increase every passing semester. So it would cost around 1 lac per semester to study over there

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college use to give scholarship to those students who topped the exams the previous semester. Topper from each trade like computer science and electronic And civil would get scholarship. In this scholarship they won't have to pay the semester fee . But it was for only one semester.

Campus Life

4

The labs were equipped with the modern equipments . All the latest technology were there for us to use. We had like a seperate college festival for the extra curricular activities.in sports there was a competition every month either it was cricket , volleyball or basketball.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes I opted for the hostel . Infrastructure was good. It had sharing wasrooms . There were three students in one room .the whole hostel was cctv wired .the laundry facility were really good. Every room had a big balcony. It was fully equipped with wi fi .

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students were very nice to us . There wasno culture of ragging and everything. We had very healthy relationships with our seniors. They would help us with the projects and during the festival they use to guide us like how to tackle with the problems.

Admission

First I bought the brochure for the admission and I was called for counseling . Over there student's name were arranged on the basis of the marks they had in 12th or competitive exam. I was called in for a little interview. That's how I got my admission .

Faculty

4.5

The faculty was great. We had some of great professors . Some of them had great experiences . Some of them served in he army as well.so the practical knowledge they had helped us a lot.there were specific professor for each practicals and lectures. And they were very helpful.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
