What Students Say
Likes
- Professors are cooperative you can approach them any time and clear your doubts.
- There are sessions where professionals from outside visit our college and help the students to understand every field, that is how the students can grow in tech and various other fields.
- There are many societies in the college. They are responsible for the cultural activities, organising hackathons, etc.
Dislikes
- Not that good placement opportunities but at that rank you can't get better than this.
- As students we all are having a dream that the college we will be going will have a huge college campus where we can roam with our friends and chill out but here it is nothing like that. The college campus is very small.
- Sometimes the college become very strict and you will be like whether have you taken in admission in school or what.
Course Curriculum Overview
I don't think that there is any specific aspect which influenced my decision. I preferred ECE because I was having interest in it. The curriculum prepares us for real world applications or further academic pursuits. The college provides the students start-up opportunities. Investors come from outside. I think the areas where improvement is required is: some of the subjects we study in 1st year which have no relation to our course should be either removed or can be made in a more precised way. There are two sessionals in each semester and the questions are not that tough if you are prepared well. But always focus on the pyqs as there are many repeated questions also.
Placement Experience
I think in 3rd year students are getting internships of their own and with some experience they can sit for placements in the 4th year which is a very crucial year. Companies which visit our college are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, cred, etc. But you can work on your skills which is very important and can opt for off-campus placements. Almost 60% students are placed every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid my 1st year which was rs 175000/ which included all kind of charges like exam, lab, registration . And it may increase by some amount every year. There is no difference in fees of the students on the basis of their categories. My college come under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) which every year brings a scholarship under EWS scheme under which they provide financial aid to students. But one thing I can mention here is that the professors are actually very cooperative and it's a decent college.
Campus Life
There are various festivals held like tech fests, cultural fests, etc each year. There are almost every kind of books available in the college library and is quite a good place to complete your studies. There are football, badminton, kabaddi and cricket tournaments. They are also held college-wise. There are also societies like prakriti, nss, etc which work on social issues.
Admission
I applied to many more colleges. I got BIT SINDRI where I was not satisfied with the branch. The admission process of this particular college(MSIT DELHI) is simple. They provide admission on the basis of Jee Mains rank through ipu counselling. There are some management quota seats also.
Faculty
I am in Electronics and Communication branch. The faculty to students ratio is good but I think it depends on each and every student's personality also. According to me, all facilities are quite cooperative and they are there for you whenever it is required. I liked my maths, chemistry and electrical science faculties very much and you all will be surprised to know that all are female. They teaches us very well and they all are experienced. My physics faculty is little bit strict and he always stresses on discipline. There are two sessionals(mid-srm) in each semester and in each mid-sem two units from each subject will be the part of the syllabus. Questions are made by IP(GGSIPU) UNIVERSITY. The questions asked are not that tough and you can refer to pyqs. Studying all pyqs will help you secure 60-75% marks. Sessional marks hold importance in your end-sem as these marks are added in a specific ratio. The course curriculum is relevant.
