Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course of law that the National Law Universities provides attracted me as a student who is graduate from any other univesity and one student who is graduated from NLU, the student who passed from NLU will be prefered as it is said that a passout from NLU and a lawyer practicing from 2 years are the same as the level of knowledge teh passout has will be maore than that of the practicing as he is given more exposure to things.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The internship are given by the internship cell in the college which coordinates with the alumni students who are working in agood law firm or for a good lawyer whether at the high court or the supreme court. Which helps the student for the future placements.

Placement Experience

3

The placements on the campus are not really good but they are in a okay stage where you find some companies coming to the campus for the placement, but the students here prefer to go for judicary more than placements so that makes it even for the students. Students from 5 year are approved for the placements .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is as followed The admission fee - 10000 Tution fee - 72500 Amenities fee - 23000 Campus Development fee - 10000 Moot court fee - 3000 Examination fee - 3000 Library fee - 5000 Hostel rent - 20000 Refundable security - 20000 Total fee at the time of admission - 166500 But this changes in the case of second semester, at that time the fee is 92500 So the fee that one has to pay in a year is about 185000 only for the acadmics the other exepense are left which would sum up to 250000 per year.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is pretty good as there are different kinds fests happening in a while the campus life is happening the festivals are also celebrated very well. The committees that are in the campus organised a jamming session where student from all the 5 batches came and jammamed which turned out pretty well everyone enjoyed in that.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facilities are very good, for the first 3 years you have to live in a double sharing room after that you are given single occupancy. The hsotels are kept very clean by regular cleaning of the rooms and the washrooms by the service persons, there are four washrooms and bathrooms on every floor which hold the strenght of 32 people per floor. The mess food is also very good, there is a review system which helps if there is any betterment that can be done in the food. The rooms also come with AC's which is a big highlight for a college to provide with.

Admission

The students who are passed out from NLU is given a tag which holds more value than any other college in the country NLU are the top leading brands for giving the top level lawyers to the country that is why a student passed out from nlu is prefered more than any other student.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty that tecahes us are choosen ones from alot of applicants that come all the tecahers are PHD's in their subjects and have done many research papers which are published in well known publications. The classes are structured in a way that for the first year you are taught the basic subjects of Law and more of the sociual sciences, So that a student who just passed his school does'nt find studing law difficult. From the second year onwards we are made to study the law subjects which hold significant.

This is a little vulnerable part of our university as placements aren't it's biggest strenth. A batch size of 300 and only half of ir finds placements from RGNUL. Yes around 40 odd firms have inked deals with RGNUL but still getting the desired results in favour of placements will take some time.

In our University, students are eligible for campus placements in 5th year of their degree for BA.LLB.(Hons.) and in LLM. they are eligible for placements in the 1st semester itself. Many Law firms visit our university like Khaitan & Co., Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Trilegal, etc. One students of our university got a 2.5 cr. placement offer from Linklaters Llp. a firm based in U.K. My plans after getting the degree are to start litigation or give a try in UPSC.

According to my information, from 4 th year that is 7 th semester we are eligible for campus placement but for that we have to enroll in placement preparation in which they prepare the students for the placement drive . My plans is not for campus placement after my course I will go into litigation and practice for my judiciary exams and after that my backup is for llm.
