Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is actually fine, they use standard textbooks and their syllabus is also fine. But I'm not very happy with the teaching methods of the faculty method and I don't really see where I'll be able to apply all these in real world applications.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am N Sujai Krishna of 5th semester Btech in Nmamit institution, karkala which is located in Karnataka. My fees is 160000.150000 is my tuition fee and 10,000 is my exam fee. Everyone in the college have the same fees but some students get scholarships which I'm not very sure about

Campus Life

We have quite many annual celebrations and festivals that are celebrated in our college, but they don't do anything for the Christians and the muslims which I don't think should be done even though I'm hindu.

Admission

I had applied for Amrita college coimbatore, I had also applied for SRM Chennai, I also applied for mit manipal, Udupi. And i got admission in all of these colleges. I didn't get into vit. But all these colleges I would've gotten but for some reason my parents wanted me to join nmamit because they taught I would get spoilt if I get into a posh college

Faculty

Faculty members of my department of my college are actually fine. But there are some who want to make the subject hell for us. They don't really care about us they act too wanna-be, it's alright though. We have 2 internal exams and 1 external exam

a good college with good atmosphere and placements

Placement Experience:

students can be eligible for placements from 3rd year only, many companies have visited the college like TATA,Accenture and many other.The highest package for this year is about 19 lakhs , average package is about 3 lakhs,talking about the percentage our college has 77% of the college placements, i am planning to pursue higher education after my graduation

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

Placement Experience:

We enter the placement at the end of 3rd year almost at 4th year(6th to 7th semester). The placement cell organizes various traning program, including mock interviews, group discussions, and communication skills workshops. Past 3 to 4 years more than 10 companies per year offered hiring 100+ students. But over the year the companies have come down and providing les opportunities. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, etc recruite students from this college. The highest package is 25LPA and the average package is around 6LPA. Due to the increase in the rate of admission, the percentage has been decresed. Almost 25 out of 100 students are getting placed in this college. After getting degree, I will try my level best to get placed in campus itself. If not, I am interested more in Competitive exams, I will focus on it.

The Pros and Cons of being a student at MIT Manipal

Placement Experience:

From the7th sem onwards campus placements are put in place for btech students. Many companies such as microsoft, google, BMW, mercedes, accenture and others look for students here. The top 100 of each branch get the highest packages with the average of that being 22lpa for the cce branch. The rest of the students that are placed have an average salary of 14 lpa. Almost all the students are placed with the placement rate being around 90% for my branch. I plan on working for 2 years after getting placed and then pursuing an MBa degree abroad to further my tenure as a valuable asset to whatever company takes me under their wing.

IIT Dharwad Pros and Cons

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in college . Highest package was 52 lpa in 2024 and average was 9-10 lpa. But the percentage was very less in 2024 because of recession and negligence of placement cell and their bad decisions.

K-CET which is Karnataka State Entrance examination is the medium for Karnataka students to get into NMAMIT or any other engineering colleges for that matter.
