Likes

Good campus and infrastructure and the greenery of our campus
Good sports facilities and gym in college and outdoor games facilities are also very good
Faculty members are also very good and 24*7 libraries are open in exam season

Dislikes

College campus in very out location very bad transport facilities
No market area near college you even cant find necessarily item nearby
Canteen service is also very bad you cant find good food in college

Course Curriculum Overview

I dont like our course curriculum because it is too old course curriculum and in todays generation that subjects dont work out. In first year they added EVS,MP,MPP,CHEMISTRY subjects in our curriculum which even dont find helpful in our future worklife

Internships Opportunities

In our college many big IITS offer internships under research and our college also provides internships in research section under senior faculty. Big MNCs also come for giving internships based on CG criteria and Online Assessment

Placement Experience

Very good placements in our college many companies come to our college during our college caampus placements season. In computer science and information technology departments 90 percent of student got placed

Fees and Financial Aid

There is hardly any change in fees of our college in our btech degree fees from first semester to last semester is same including tuition fees to mess fees . We also have scholarships for income less than 1 lakh

Campus Life

My college life is going very well in this campus and my social life is also going very well in this college . I also got involved in many club activities and social activities in my campus including all cultural and technical events

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility provides really very good accommodation and rooms are also very spacious and clean corridors and washrooms. 2 Water Coolers are available in every floor in hostel and 1 washing machine is also on every floor

Admission

I take this college due to its top nirf ranking and it is also a good top nit and very good placement especially for good package especially for CSE/IT. This college is vey good in persepect of ragging very good senior junior interaction

Faculty members of college are very highly educated but they dont put too much efforts for teaching in class . If you got back in any subject then in back paper they make more tougher paper than normal exams. And back fees is also very high last semester it was 3000 and in this semester 1500

Good campus life with decent academics

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
