Overall student's experience of college life

I am studying Computer science engineering. I selected this course because I am tech enthusiastic and very passionate about programming. It was my mother's wish as well to see her son become a software engineer. The curriculum not only prepares us in theory but also in practical by allowing us to prepare mini projects, conducting researchs on various topics and also conducting tutorials for many theory subjects and thus improving our skills for our future. Even after that, it still lacks practical skills cause the semesters are too short and we have a hell lot to write and will not have time.

I got a seat through management quota. I am currently studying in 3rd year (5th semester). My first year fees was ?1,50,000 and the fees for the rest of the years (second, third and fourth year) is ?1,33,650.

The events and fests in my college are rare especially for engineering students as we have shortage of time. We have fests in random months approximately twice a year. The college's library has a wide variety of books for each and every subject, hence providing students with variety of options to study to study from the book of their choice. Each classroom has a projector that the teachers use to teach.

I didn't apply for any college since my KCET rank was not good. However I considered colleges like Atria, Impact, Sambhram and a few others as well. But in some colleges I didn't get the courses I desired for and in some, the reviews by the students were not that great. However Sambhram college was better comparatively to others and I also got my desired course and hence I joined there. The eligibility in Sambhram college through KCET is 80000 rank and below and for management, the fees varies between 1,40,000 to 2,00,000 depending on the category of castes.

The faculties are usually linient and don't teach properly. However there a few teachers like Mallamma ma'am and balakrishna sir who are excellent in teaching and both of them are my favourites. They make the subjects look very easy and interesting. However there are faculties like venkatesh sir and rajaraman sir who are too linient and don't teach properly. We have two internal theory exams and two internal lab exams for every semester. The theory exams are more strict compared to lab exams. And at the semester end, we have the semester exams. Failing the subjects and getting backlogs is quite common as many teachers don't teach properly and we have to study the subject on our own
