Remarks
Positive remarks - Nice environment, ragging free campus, lots of extracurricular activities, good placement for CS/IT and Electronics. Negative remarks - Teaching faculties can be more experienced, infrastructure can be improved.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good overall. But what I feel is it's a little old and based on current industry requirements they should be upgraded. There are 2 semesters in a given year. In each semester there will be one mid sem examination of 25 marks and an end sem examination of 60 marks
Placement Experience
The placement is good for CS, IT and Electronics. For other branches it is decent. While CS, IT achieves around 100 % placement. Most of the companies will be a startup with a decent salary. No, they don't provide an internship.
College Events
KIIT Fest is the only event celebrated in the month of October. The event is pretty good with various events in robotics, marketing, coding, etc. Cultural functions also take place in the evening with a new artist performing each year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
What I feel like the fee is expensive. The total cost to complete BTech will be around 15-17 lakhs. With each year for the newly admitted students, they hike the hostel as well as tuition fees. Also compared to the facilities provided the fee is high.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have not opted/availed any scholarship from my college. Although as far as I know, you can opt for a study loan from different banks. There is also an yearly scholarship for the top 3(not aware of the exact number) students of each branch. I am not aware about the exact amount of stipend they get from this scholarship.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are also pretty good. There are various types of societies like for dance, modeling, acting, drama, singing, entrepreneurship etc. Students can join any of them based on their choice. There is also yearly football and cricket tournaments among all branch and years of student.
Alumni/Alumna
Not much aware of the alumni network. But the seniors are generally good. They will help you with the placements and give suggestions on how to crack an interview by giving interview tips. As far as the alumni is concerned there is an official group in facebook for alumni.
Faculty
They are decent and helpful with most of them bearing a Ph.D. degree in the respective subjects. But it is advisable not to accept to knowledge much from any teacher. I am saying this based on my experiences.
