Likes

The most important thing I like about our collage is the campus. Our campus is not very huge like other. But the comfort and the homely feeling when you enter the collage is amazing. The oat, amphitheatre and triple height is the most highlight space
Campus hostel is very good. It is very clean and neat compared to other hostels.
The faculties are very friendly. usually faculties in other collage doesn't allow us to sleep in class but here you can.

Dislikes

The hostel timing. We have to enter the hostel campus before 8 pm which I thought was unnecessary.

The curriculum is very creative. Each sem we have very different and creative projects. And as an architect such creative , challenging and problem solving projects are what pushes one to be a good architect

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee for merit students Tuition fee 80,000?/yr Hostel fee 1,00,000 Fee For non merit students Tution fee 2,00,000 Hostel fee 1,00,000 For NRI it is more than that. The hostel facilities for this free is worth it. We have good hostel rooms, enough bathrooms, good food and so on.

Campus Life

The amount of events are actually very less. Cultural doesn't have much of an importance in this collage. But we have some events like avani exhibition which is basically exhibiting our good weeks to the world's which I have to say is amazing and a recognised by a lot. Then we have sports , and some cultural nights

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is really good. We have very good neat rooms. One rooms is hared by 4 person but not congested. We have our own shelves and cupboard. Andwe have enough bathrooms and toilets which is really really neat.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

The reason I chose this collage over other collage is because Avani collage is founded by an architect itself,Ar Tony Joseph. Therefore our collage has no other course except architecture. And since it's founded by some famous architects the collage has a lot of exposure in architecture radius compared to other engineering collages

Faculty

Most of the faculties are not too old. Many are very young and therefore very friendly and approachable. One can approach any faculty at any time of the day. We have 2 series exam for one semester. And then a final jury and a university Exam at the end.

College of Engineering Trivandrum. Is it worth the hype

Placement Experience:

As I'm a first year student I don't know much about placements but I think it starts by 8th sem for b arch students. Placements for barch are low compare to btech. But as this is a prestigious institution the best firms come here and there is a unit called CGPU for helping students regarding placements here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Im a passionate student architect. From childhood, I had this dream of becoming a creator. So I chose this course. There is a good ratio of faculty student ratio in the private colleges all over india. I'm not sure about the teaching method because this is more like a self learning course. But faculties are also helpful most of the time. Jury subjects are tougher than written examinations.

Good Express till now

Admission:

Admission here is given on the basis of rank secured in NATA. With my rank I cleared the cutoff in general category in third round. I want my college to be near my home. So I can travel daily from my home. With my rank this was the best option I was getting and hence I opted for this.
