About My College

The course that I chose has a lot relevance to the real-world problems and has a good mix of both theory and practical. Important tools in the field of AI like Tensorflow and keras is taught to euqip us for the real world projects that are being undetaken in many of the companies. Using animated videos and graphical presentations can help improve interest and also help retain information. The exams are timed well beforehand. Mid-semester exams commence usually after one or two months from the day of commencement of your semester. Similarly end-semester exams occur just before the summer and winter breaks respectively.

Companies like Qualcomm, Google, Barclays etc come and offer internships with stipend of upto 1 lakh ruppees. Projects like NLPs to improve customer service, or AI models to assist employees on general queries and so on help clarify tasks like customer support, employee wellbeing so on and so forth

Students in the 7th semester are eligible for campus placements. Many MNCs like Apple, Google, John Deere etc come here to shortlist the candidates. The highest package that was in the engineering department was around 2 crores per annum while the average sits around 15-20 lakhs per annum. All of the students who have applied for placements get placed. I would like to pursue my higher studies abroad right after a get my degree.

For students who study in this college, I have paid around 4 lakhs rupees as the semster fees including the hostel and mess fees as well. Some batchmates who belong to OBC group need to pay around 1 lakh to 1 lakh 20 rupees per year which is very much affordable.

Hackathons are conducted yearly every now and then. The main technical festival is INNOVISION where students from reputed colleges like IIT Kharagpur, NIT Durgapur etc come and participate. On top of that, we have cultural festivals such as COSMOPOLITAN and other fests like NITRUTSAV and ROOTS happen yearly. A wide variety of books are found in the library with the latest versions. Sports and other extracurricular acitivitues take place with full zeal and coaching for the sports tram of our college occurs weekly to prepare them for intercollege tournaments. ICS help students who are weak in their academics or even their personal life and conduct sessions to provide useful suggesstions to common problems faced by the students.

I have applied for many of the top institutes like NIT Trichy, NIT warangal, NIT ROURKELA, NIT NAGPUR and so on. I got my admission confirmed from NIT ROURKELA as it was able to provide the course I chose with the qualifications I had presented to them. The admission is similar to all the colleges in India, but NITs and IITs admissions are based on JEE mains and JEE advanced score is considered only for admission into IITs.

The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:80 in thr engineering departments whereas for humanities and science it is aroung 1:35. The faculty members are a mixed pack. There are some professors and are very helpful and readyt o clear the doubts. But at the same time, there are professors who are very strict and stern. The mid-semster and end semster exams are on a moderate level. And it entirely depends on the syllabus that is taught just 1 week before mid semester or end semester.
