Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is pretty flexible, you have a wide variety of CCC and UWE to choose from. Name the course and it's probable available. If you dont have a lot of time in your schedule a few online courses are available too that you can attend at you comfort. With so many exams, you are bound to have 2 exams in a day sometimes as well. The quizzes for all courses are frequently scheduled very close to each other and you have to grind har to score well. There are approximately 3-4 quizzes, one mid semester exam and 1 end semester exam over the course of 4-5 month semester. Some courses have lab exams and project as well.

Internships Opportunities

3

The university partners with leading companies to offer internships and co-op placements. Some of the highly named companies are microsoft, amazon, IMB, GS, MCK and a lot more. However the placements for the engineering branches is way higher than other branches that are present.

Placement Experience

4

The companies start offering placements and ppo from 3rd year onwards. The university had a Career Development Centre (CDC) that guides you throughout your placement process. CDC sessions are also held every year from first year onwards. The average ctc offered is 10-11LPA The Highest ctc offered is: 58.09LPA The claim to have 100% placements with companies like microsoft, amazon, IBM, Deloitte, McKinsey and other big names. A lot of students do plan on higher education for future and not appear for the placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees breakup for Btech Cse is approximately 4 lakhs for the tuition fees and 1 lakh for the hostel fees (depending on the hostel toom you opt for single/AC/Non AC). A one time payment on 52,500 also has to be made while admissions. There are 2 scholarships available: 1. Sports scholarship Applicable for chess, tennis, badminton, squash and table tennis players 2. College board india scholar Applicable for students with SAT score 1300 or higher The scholarship includes tuition fees, hostel fees and mess charges

Campus Life

3.5

The annual fest breeze takes place every year in February. Big artists like karun, nanku, akhil sachdeva, twin strings, ashish solanki etc have performed here. The campus turns into a party as soon as these fests are started. With over 60 clubs you always have something to do on campus. Every September a club wars is also held which is a competition between all the clubs. An indoor sports complex with a variety of sports is available. Including rock climbing, badminton, squash, cricket. There is also centre named Atal Incubation Centre for those who want to start their own start ups. Proper funding and guidance is provided to those who need it.

Admission

I got admitted in MUJ, VIT, KIIT and SRM as well. However i decided to choose this college because of the freedom and lifestyle the i could get. As it is a residential campus it is compulsory to stay on campus, at the same time it is easy for me to travel back home during the weekend for major festivals. The campus is also just 1 hour away from the airport for those who are from a different state. I got into every college i applied to but SNU somehow had my heart. Due to it's curriculum flexibility and proximity to my home. You can get admission through your SAT, JEE aur SNUSAT score. The SNUSAT is an admission test carried out by shiv nadar university itself. It is a basic calculative and adaptive knowledge test. For a few courses a one on one interview is also held after you clear the SNUSAT.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is pretty decent when it comes to other degrees but in engineering most of the times there is 1 professor teaching to a class of more than a 100 students with no personal attention. Some professors make the quizzes and exams so difficult on purpose so that the students fail. I kid you not, professors have said this themselves. Kamal Singh sir, from department of ECE is one if the kindest and most accommodative souls i have seen in the campus. He makes sure that every studen reaches their full potential and hus positive energy makes you want to attend his lectures.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Jims is a ipu college, so yeah curriculum depends entirely on ipu University. First year is similar for all btech courses. Or is easy to earn marks in lab and soft skill subjects but maths or physics is hard. Your 12th basics should be very good, else these two subjects will affect your overall SGPA badly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is good of btech but there there is only thing I don't like is that in btech course the subjects in first year are not related to career of students because there is physics, chemistry other irrelevant subjects present in first year but in second year the course become interesting and relevant. Curriculum is good and prepare well for real world applications. The exams comes frequently every month there is a class test but class tests are moderate on the basis of there difficulty level.

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly speaking I don't like the curriculum of my college. Everything is same which people studied 20 years ago . Only few things has been changed and I don't understand why we need to study about things which don't have any existence in reality. They should focus on current tech and provide more learning opportunities in AI.

course curriculum is little bit out-dated, and improvements are needed in terms of syllabus. timing of exams are ok ok. so many assignments are given which is really hectic because their are deadlines to upload those assignments in google classroom. and one thing i hate about college is 75% attendence is must. due to this we do not get much time for our personal development.
