Likes
- Extra curricular activities - my college do provide a great exposure to students. There are various societies encouraging students in their feilds of interest. And even overcomin their stage and public fear
- Professors are very much commited to their work of teaching generally heard no studies in colleges but we are provided with teachers who are dedicated, provide assignments, constant practice etc.
- Mine is girls college so enthusiasm in girls is motivating and seeing them living to full gives strength to others. Creating a good environment with sensible, joyous, aspirious girls.
Dislikes
- Attendance criterion -not possible for day commuters to maintain good attendance and weightage of attendance is too high that actually affects the marks.
- Timetable- long hrs break between classes and uneven dispersal of classes actually makes the study hectic, tiring and boring.
- Multiple Subjects -studying 7subjects a semester and anotjer 7in next is actually what is compelling students to be rotelearners.because they don't have that time to understand subjects.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am from commerce stream so it is one of the most appealing course to me. It is helpful for me with various careers which are open to us in future. The course can improve by limiting the subjects and providing specialosation to students in those few subjects. Exams are held once in semester that's cool however regular tests are conducted.
Internships Opportunities
Placements are provided by various companies in our college. Good placements are provided with better future college prospects. Internships provided are innumerable many paid and many unpaid. Internship like one pehchan street are encouraging the social help. And many other are providing corporate experiences as intern. Developing them good marketing intern ets
Placement Experience
Third year students I. E from,5th semester students are eligible for placements. Placements are really good many big companies like deloitte do come from placements in our colleges and many students who are found eligible got the placements. Percentage of students vary depending upon caliber and performance by the students. Highest package was around 30lacs per annum. My plans are different . I want to pursue my profession of ca for which I am continuing my additional studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Hii i am Sneha and I am currently studying in delhi university. I am pursuing the bcom(hons) course. I am a second year student and this time my annual fees charged is 17995 . I am from unreserved categoy so got no relaxation on terms of caste or etc. Ofcourse the fees charged this year is higher than charged previously that was about 16000). On an average reserved class do get relaxation in both areas for fees and marks. Annual fees charged is okay, affordable but the daily commutators are spending lumpsums in travelling. If i take my example I am from Ncr Faridabad so my daily fare cost 140. I think there should be consideration for the commutators as well in terms of attendance mainly. There is not such merit concession as far as I know
Campus Life
My college is home to celebration. Every week the team is one or another fest, celebration, activities by diiferent groups taking place. This is actually must needed refreshment for the continuously engaged and busy minds. This gives another level relaxation. For eg. Navratri celebration, wedding season celebration, hindi diwas celebration along with officially recognised days say freshers party, graduation party and annual fest known by different names. Specaial guests are not less than cherry on the cake.
Admission
First of all I gave cuet so the college spefically are not chosen but alloted accordingly. But yes since it was my fourth preference as this is one of the best and renowned college for commerce . I was however shocked to see the great differences in marks for reserved and unreserved category the cuttoff generally very low for reserved categoy and cut throat competition in general category over so limited seats. The ovetall process of admission was smooth, wholly online , economical, easy enrolling ets
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:60 I. E one teacher per sixty students. Teachers are helpful, compassionate and good. My faculty members like Geeta kitchlu, Nidhi , Amit Rohilla , andany more are all so good, easily approachable and also listen to our queries, clears our doubt and help us at every step. There is not even a single reason to hate or dilike any teacher because all are well motivated to teach. The exam level os moderate. Mostly students are able to clear them under proper guidance of professors.
