Good college, Great placements.

Overall it's a good college with great placement aspects. The campus and neighborhood are good. The college life is good. Hostels are strict regarding time. The food is not that good, but you have plenty of options.

Entrance Exam

The curriculum consists of some must needed subjects, on the other hand, few subjects are no more required in the industry. Classes are regular and mandatory 75% attendance is required throughout the semester.

Yes, companies approach the college from 3rd year and offer stipend too. The duration is usually around 6 months. The stipend depends from company to company. I have interned at HP Inc. Software R&D for 6 months with a decent stipend amount.

The university is well known for its placements. Computer Science especially is known for its 100% placements for the past few years. Many companies visit the campus every year and offer packages up to 40L.

The KIIT fest is held every year around Dec/Jan. Usually, it is for 3 days which includes performances, DJ night and a star night - usually a singer. The college has many societies in which students can join for their personal development.

The fee structure for the college is quite expensive as it turns out to be 3-4 lakhs a year. The city and neighborhood around although are not that expensive. Hostels can cost 17k for non-ac and 30,40k for ac hostels.

The university offers the scholarship to students who rank under 500 in its entrance exam - KIITEE. It also has a reservation quota, girls quota, etc. Students can also apply for education loans under the university.

The college has many societies for modeling, dancing, singing, social service, etc. The labs are well equipped and have lab attendants to help. The university hosts a number of game events regularly. Recently it became the first university to host the hockey world cup.

Hostel cost 17k for non-ac 3 sharing room, 30k for ac three sharing room, 40k for ac 2 sharing room. The mess fees are 17.5k for all the hostels. The hostels are clean and maintained and have good security. Some hostels have a lift too.

The seniors are helpful. Connections can be made through LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. I too have been in contact with few seniors on Whatsapp too. Faculty also helps you connect to seniors if you ask them to.

There are two semesters in a year and each semester has two exams - mid semester examination of 25 marks, end semester examination of 60 marks and 15 marks for internal evaluation. Every subject has a different credit score.

KIITEE is the entrance exam for the college admission into respective branches. I took admission in B.Tech computer science engineering. My rank was around 1600 and got the seat in 1st counseling. First 500 students get scholarship. The exam was conducted online and had PCM subjects.

The faculty is helpful and is open for doubts but depends from faculty to faculty. They can speak in Hindi, English, and Odiya. Every section is assigned with a tutor mentor whom the students report to.
