Remarks

The hostel is a little strict and most rooms have poor network connectivity. Also the use of the phone is banned inside the college. That a big negative mark for me. Other than that, they do just fine. They have bus facilities for those that need it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It was easy enough. It had many unnecessary and outdated components that needed to be replaced. But this curriculum was prescribed by the kerala university under which my college operated. It is mainly theory oriented, like any other Indian curriculum. But all the engineering colleges in kerala are under kerala technical university now and I think they have a much better, useful and somewhat tough curriculum

Internships Opportunities

They provide time off, for us to participate in internship programs. But they won't arrange any for us. We have to find it and apply. All those available for us are those where we pay them to give us internship. So no stipend cam be expected. They usually last about 1 to 2 weeks

Placement Experience

3.5

Multiple companies attend the placement drives. Usually, all of these are from IT background. All branches can attend these interviews and can get placed. But core company placements are very scarce if you are not from CS batch. Then if we get placed in a company, then we are not allowed to participate in any other employment drives, to give opportunities to other students.

College Events

4

College celebrates an annual day called crossroads. Its a 3 day event that has multiple sports, dance and other fun activities. They also celebrate 'freshers day\' for the newcomers. Also, they have a sports day, arts day other events through the year

Fee Structure And Facilities

While joining, a refundable advance of 1lakh has to be paid. Then a caution deposit of 10k. The yearly fees is around 79k rs which includes 75k fees+ some extra charges. Since the university changed, the fee structure could have changed.

Fees and Financial Aid

They offer a scholarship to students. Students that scored the top in the entrance exam, among his classmates will get a fee exemption. Also very poor and those associated with sports will get fees exemption and hostel fees exemption

Campus Life

4.5

They have good lab facilities for all the necessary subjects. Some of the equipments are old, but still working fine. The main sports activity supported by the college is basketball. They are frequent winners in tournaments. They support other sports activities like the shuttle, table tennis, etc. They are among constant toppers in regional college arts fest(kerala university arts fest)

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Both boys and girls hostel facilities are available very close to the college. Boys college is just 20 meters away from the college gate. It has nice double bedrooms and nice food at a rate of about 60k+ a year. 1st years will have to share an 8p room

Alumni/Alumna

They have a well established alumni network and they carry out events every now and then to bring us alumni back together. All the seniors are also very helping and supportive. Since its a no ragging allowed campus, they get along with juniors just fine

Exam Structure

The semester lasts for 6 months. So the university exam is held after each semester. In between semester exams, the college conducts 2 series exams. They count this test score for final mark adjustments.

Admission

I got in through the state engineering examination. I had scored a rank of around 9k in the engineering entrance exam. That left with no chance for a government college. So I selected this college. They needed a refundable 1 lakh advance deposit, like most private colleges. I heard that the fees were same whether we joined through a merit list or by influencing management, which many of my friends did, to get admitted. But this was before the university changed and i think the process is different now

Faculty

4.5

The faculties at my college are very good. They try their hardest to teach us and always try to teach us all the prescribed portions in the curriculum, unlike in government colleges. They always try to clear all the doubts that the students have. They ate fluent in both native and English language, which is helpful for some students.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably
