Remarks

Although the College might not be on a very lucrative rank across India it's growing fast to be one of the biggest colleges. The most positive thing has to be that alongwith 30000 students studying in KIIT, around 30000 poor children get free education from LKG to PG.

Entrance Exam

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The College provides a lot of different courses to dwell in. In fact, there are many different courses in one field. For example, in the Computer Science field, there is Computer Science, Information Technology, CS & Systems, and CS & Communications Engineering. Each of the curricula is very nicely made and the syllabus is complete and as per the latest need of Industry

Internships Opportunities

My college has a good provision of providing internships. There is a specialized department known as training and placement cell which pushes out forms of all the new internships that are available and attach the link to fill the form. The stipend depends mostly on the company. The overall experience is phenomenal and prepares you for the coming placements

Placement Experience

5

There are around a hundred companies that visit the campus. The College boasts of getting more than 95% of the students placed in prestigious firms. Most of the students are placed in Day 0 and Day 1 itself. The average salary goes to 6-8 lakhs while the highest salary goes as much as 38-45 lakhs

College Events

4.5

My college understands the proverb "All work and No play makes Jack a dull boy" very nicely. That's why there's always some kind or the other event happening around the campus. There's a special department known as the Student Activities Council in charge of such events. There are 2 MUNs, interstate chess championships, hockey championships, multiple fests every year. Apart from that, there is always some kind of social cultural event taking place every week and displayed on the official website

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure, although somewhat expensive, is still worth and reasonable keeping in mind the whole experience. Most of the popular colleges and universities in the country have the same or more expensive fee structure. The amenities and experience provided here completely justifies the fee structure

Fees and Financial Aid

The College provides scholarship to the top scoring female students. Some amount of the fees is decreased in favor of the student. There is also the option to take an education loan to complete the studies in the College. A comprehensive fee structure is provided in the beginning to tell about the exact amount of loan required thereby making the process easier.

Campus Life

5

The campus is divided into multiple schools such as School of Computer Engineer, School of Mechanical Engineering, etc. Each of the schools has numerous spacious labs according to their requirements. All computer labs are internet enabled and have Windows 10 as OS. There's also a sports complex in each school comprising of gym, swimming pool, cricket, and basketball fields. The subscriptions of these are fairly cheap and more than affordable.

Hostel Facilities

4

Most of the students studying in this campus Belong to different states and thus reside in the hostels. There are more than 20 boys hostels and 13 girls hostels. AC, Non Ac, 1 person bedroom,2 person bedroom, 3 person bedroom. Every option is there. Girls have a secured compound with tight security and a strict 7 pm deadline. Almost all corridors have CCTVs fixed.

Alumni/Alumna

The College has absolutely no ragging. Strict rules are in place. This makes the seniors and juniors extremely friendly to each other. Most of the juniors reach out to their seniors for every small and big issue and their seniors don't shy away from giving any kind of help they require. They are very helpful.

Exam Structure

For each semester, there is a mid-semester exam in the middle of the semester of 20 marks. By the end of the semester, there's a kind of final exam comprising of 60 marks. The remaining 20 marks are provided from the internal assessment done my the faculty during the semester including quizzes, attendance, assignments, presentations and Group discussions

Admission

You have to give an admission test KIITEE which is free of cost. You'll get your results in just a few days. Based on your rank, your counseling will be scheduled. You'll have to appear for your counseling which will give you the choices of different branches based on your rank

Faculty

4

Since its comparatively a new college, most of the faculty is new but very knowledgeable. Some of them might not have teaching experience but being closer to the age of students help them relate as to where the students might have a problem. And guide them accordingly. They adopt interactive learning techniques like group discussions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The technical background and future influenced me to choose this course. The preparation for real-world applications or further academic pursuits are average. Theres no fair improvement needed in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The frequency of the exams are 2 sem exams and 4 quiz in class exams. The timings for sem exams are 3 hours while for quiz tests its 30 minutes. The difficulty level is average of all the exams

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
