I love my college

This design field is very different from other like engineering and medical. And NIFT teaches us very deeply that in four years we have professional mind and way of design with us . The curriculum here is In my pov appropriate because they give a lot of opportunities like workshop industry experts lectures ,internships , send us to work with industry and craftsman and also allow us to go foreign for one year study to know more and in depth our field.

As I'm in my first year I still don't know about this but as much as I know we can avail intership apportunity from second year onwards first it will be unpaid because of the restricted experience we have and then you can find paid ones also ..college gives intership from third but in between you can fetch online by yourself also.

The percentage of students getting placement here in 79% and other some of them go for their own business,some for further studies , some of them get better offers off campus and some documents freelancing. I can't tell much about company visited during placement as I'm in first year only but yes you become eligible for placement from 3rd year 6th sem .

The fees we pay her eis semester wise i.e six monthly and the fees is approx 1.5 lakh per sem this is to be paid irrespective of category. The student taking admission via NRI sponsored quota has to pay 3 times the regular fees each sem. There are many scholarship students can avail if their parents annual income is till 8 lakhs or below . My college also provide laptop loan and mediclaim .

We have two main fests in college one is converge which is inter nift college fest held in one of the 19 centres all over India and one is spectrum where other nearby colleges are invited . We have six clubs that conduct a lot of events very frequent in college campus. Library is called resource centre here which is just the perfect resource centre you get fashion magazines, books, graduates GP and also trend forcast books that is more than enough to gain a lot of knowledge. There are many labs here for weaving 3d printing as the specific department requires also computer labs .

Hostel infrastructure rooms house keeping facility is far far better than other Govt colleges . You get laundry room , gym, refrigerator oven and induction to use . You get a ground and basketball court and a hall for recreational works . You even get beauty parlour here . Doctor and counselor comes here once a week . The mess meal is not that good it's never spicy but t still the menu is very good as we get panneer chicken biryani Maggie golgappe and a lot of things . After confirming you seat in a specific campus you fill the hostel form and email it to the warden also paying the fees that's it.

I did appear for NID and IIT but my rank was not enough to get a seat as general seats are very less there for NID it's 100 and IIT it's 80 only. I also gave FDDI and secured fabulous rank but I chose NIFT because this tag of being a NIFT student is very respected and usefull as the industry and companies know that this is the premium fashion college that make their students elite and professional towards work and career. The admission process is you fill the form which is released in oct-nov month and then there are 2 rounds first is aptitude and drawing both included and is you clear this then you sir for second that Is 3d model making and creative writing.

It's been a while that I'm here in this college and honestly I didn't find any faculty bad that I would end up hating or disliking that faculty. Faculties here are very approachable and light minded they inspire us that how can we teach students without being that typical strict faculty. For one subject we have one teacher or sir handling all 38 students. We have 3 exams here of which 2 are basically submission i.e mid term and end term of 30 marks eachand final exam we have is jury of 40 marks where we have to present design as well as work for it .
