- The first thing i like about the college is the staff they are very friendly and understanding
- And the most important thing is the best part my favourite part college has various forums department marathi prabodhan of which i am part of like that they have law / accounts / and other languages so we get to organise to participate
- Co curricular activities are hreat the fests are great and the canteen is good the infrastructure also
Dislikes
- The staffs are very friendly but definitely there is a need of modern teacching required not only in maths but cimmerce and other subjects as it still feels old school and no interest
- Yes in the fees structure yhey akso include fees of such as gymkhana so i feek the fees must be taken from only who use such facility it will be good for both parties
- I also think that there management is bit slow
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen it as i am doing a professional course ao bcom was a great degree suitable. So the subjects which are we having now as we say business law also that are good and the account ls also we are now having chapters like foreign accounts this will definitely help us further. I think the scope of improvement of content can be in commerce subject related to organization as now we are heading towards digital marketing social media marketing. The frequency is 2 times a year and level is medium
Placement Experience
Since i am in second year the thing i know is placement are mostly from banks here . And also they were discussing to bring internship opportunities on to the table as well . So im ty they will make internship compulsory that was the add on which they wish to implement
Fees and Financial Aid
In junior college the fees was very nominal since i was in Gujarati minority so mine was 700 only and for 12th it was 1200 and in degree college i have no minority and there is no change in fees as fell for fy it was 13k and now it is 17 k yes obviously if i analyse the feeses are rising compared with kj somaiya arts and commerce. And about the girls and boys ratio
Campus Life
SOMAIYA is already quite popular for the campus and infrastructure and it is worth the hype. As in school i was a shy girl. But now i am vocal confident. It is so easy to make friends here . I never thought i would mix uo so well . But the students are very friendly as well. They have 3 canteens as well. And i would like to share . Since my 5th standard i would say my family it was my dream college . So fortunately i made my expectations a reality and having a good college life . Campus with friends It heals .
Admission
Somaiya had online admission process. So we were having covid and i applied of minority as gujarati so that i can avoid but after completing college i thought i would go with mulund college of commerce but yes as i done my research somaiya is linent in terms of attendance and the bonus was its co curricular activities that infuenced me as i will be able to manage both the things as well . The admission process was easy though.
Faculty
Okay so there as many faculty available and i have to address they are friendly and approachable as well. I have more connection with my business communication ma'am she is meera ma'am and she also helps us with resumes sops and letter so she is the perfect person to talk to for me . I like the faculty but im some subject i feel the teaching method can be better for commerce subjects . We have 6/7 papers and yea the kevel is medium . And 96% do clear exams. The curriculum is somewhat relevant is subcom as according to the nep
