Course Curriculum Overview

Exams conducted as per schedule & that is very good. I chose this course because i love the lab works & find out innovation from nature things through science. In Covid - 19 , the vaccines are innovated by Biotechnologist & that is my biggest inspiration for choosing this course.

Class Size: 3Course Fees: INR 165000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for this stream is 175000 now. When I joined the Institute the total fees was 165000. 15000 was admission fees & 25000 per semester fees. But now admission fees is 25000 & semester fees is same as previous. SVMCM scholarship is available for student in this college.

Campus Life

In the month of Feb there are held sports & other competitions & the festival is called E4 Events. Freshers, farewell party & other cultural events are held as per occasions. The books are available in library .

Admission

The exam for admission in this course is CET conducted by MAKAUT. I applied SNU, Brainware etc & i got confirmation mail from those university also but the fees are high in other colleges than this college. This college's fees are affordable for many students.

Faculty

Faculties are good. Some behave so nicely & some rudely but overall they are good as a teacher. The exams are conducted by Makaut University. Exams are quite difficult. Syllabus for this stream (Biotechnology) is very good.

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
