Campus of the college is very nice as it is located on a hill witha beautiful view
Teachers and faculty is very good and nice and students are very decent and friendly
Placement of college is good and most students are placed on campus

Dislikes

Less shops and transportation difficulties
Hard water and hostel is not for everyone
Mess food is really bad or I can say worst

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is not updated to mark as I am in 2 nd year but still studying history and economic which doesn't mean anything to mean I want something practical and useful and the teaching way is also old school and most of the time youtube helps

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college fees structure is semester wise and each semester fee is 28,000 + extra 3000 of hostel this is for general category of which I belong and firls which have scheme of BHA fee is 10,000 and I have applied for nsp which provides different scholarship for category students

Worst college life as i dreamt alot of doing things but here there is no proms, no night parties ,no night outs just being a orick on hostels beds during weekends just boring and stress of exams and future

Admission

I didn't applied for any other colleges because in hptu counseling this college was the best as per hype of this college so I scored a good seat over there in this college and it is best if i compare because the other colleges are more worse

Faculty

There is faculty of five teacher over 80 students and there are two mkid sem exams which includes our internal assessment and one final exam by which our marks are deduced and the level of exam is a bit difficult which is okay

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took civil because is good and all teachers are on there post and are very good. Civil engineering plays very important role in construction of buildings and dams etc. Exams are mostly held in September November and December for odd sem and for Even sem it is feb April and may.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

My other options were both private colleges which I've stated earlier. They both are very imfamous colleges. But also tgere is a lot of students who took admission there. And i think they are overrated and over populated. I personally think that govt. College is better even if there is less social activities. I applied to all the Government colleges and all the colleges that come under hptu and choose this college because it is considered to be best for government civil engineering course and I had the option to choose any college but I choose this because it is a good college for the admission we have to give entrance test or on the basis of JEE mains so after the admission test there is merit list and the counselling and you get the admission letter that's all it's it's a very easy process you just have to score there is a lot of competition but yeah you can get admission not easily but not that tough...Read More
