What Students Say
Likes
- I liked the crowd of the college , in the way that other students were decent and nice in their behavior as compared to other colleges
- The faculty of the college is awesome, the teachers are resourceful and kind. They teach very nicely and help every single student out who reaches out to them
- There are number of socities in the college which play a significant role in the development of the college which I've liked. Personally the music society looks fun.
Dislikes
- Being the total area of the college is 5acre, it doesn't give a whole college feel as the infrastructure is not that good and the college looks. old and small
- The canteen could be a little more upgraded , like adding a nescafe store and bringing new and healther items.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen this course ( Bcom hons) because at some point in my life I aspire to become a CA. Bcom hons has many different aspects including Accountancy which will help for placements in corporate firms. According to me the not important subjects like EVS and other irrelevant subjects should not be there so that we can focus on the CORE subjects
Placement Experience
The placements of the college are very average around 5-6 L per annum but usually majority of students opt for further studies or pursueing MBA. My plans are after getting my degree is to try for a placement or pursue MBA
Fees and Financial Aid
I have taken admission in the Delhi College of Arts and Commerce College in the Delhi University ( DU). The biggest selling point about DU is the minimal fee of the course which in my case is 12800. I think this is the fee for the whole year. To get into DU, one has to clear the CUET exam and get over 700+ marks to go into a decent college. I don't think there are any scholarships available in this college as the fee is already so cheap. The faculty is good and the teachers are very creative and skilled in their respective field of study. The crowd is one of the many other selling points here as the crowd here is decent and respectful, as compared to other south campus colleges. This may not be the perfect college due to its lack of proper infrastructure but other than that everything is good and proper. I haven't found any SC/ST or OBC students just yet, i think majority of students belong from the general category. In conclusion it is a nice college.
Campus Life
There is no typical college life due to the infrastructure of the college, although there are parties in clubs like the freshers party There are over 60000 books in the library with the new technology to issue books. Our colleges offers a sports ground with basketball court and cricket nets. There are many societies in the college which focus on the upbringing of their members
Admission
I appllied to all the colleges in DU including all of north campus colleges like SRCC HINDU HANSRAJ RAMJAS KIRORI MAL KHALSA and Venky. The reason I got this college was becauss it was above the ARSD AND Bhaghat singh college. I preferred this college because The crowd at ARSD is not really good and bhagat singh college is very strict regarding its attendance and examinstions. One has to appear for the CUET exam to be eligible to take admission in DU. The experience of giving CUET was horrible as we had to travel almost 2 hours to the examination centre and even there the atmosphere was not good
Faculty
The faculty heee is awsome and approachable. They will be helpful to those who will reach out to them. Vikas sir from the management of principles is a very good professor and captain Bhupinder are very skilled in their respective fields of study There are mid terms and final exams which are held in around january. the course is very relevant to the curriculum as there are many changes to the NEP
