A three years journey in GKVK

Specially agriculture college have wide variety of activities to be conducted by the students. We will be having field works, field visits to the successful or progressing farmer field. So we not only learn from the books by reading but also we get practical exposures to experience the real problems happening in the farmer field and how to overcome from that.

Actually individual department will be in contact with one or the other company for the conduct of research work. So by one or the other way we can easily get in to the company if the college is not bringing campuses for students.

Ph.D. degree will be three years with semister systems, two semister per year. Usually even semister fee will be more compared to odd sem. It ranges from 40k-53k per semister(even) and 25k-35k per odd semister. We can get national fellowship namely senior research fellow ship, Ugc fellowship, pm grants, women fellowship, etc. Whereas state wise also we can apply for fellowships. And very important university will provide University merit fellowship for top scorer in each department individually with 4k per month. Along with this for category students University will provide 10k per month financial aid from University SC/ST cell. And for category students University won't charge any fees for semistere.

Coming to the social involvement in the campus we have Red cross association in joint with medicos, through which students will organize and participate in regular blood donation campus, free medical checkup etc. Overall I just love this campus in all prospectives.

Every student will definitely get hostel facilities in our college that too for a very low rent. The hostel fee will be decided based on sharing and dividing basis. Room rent will be fixed and other like electricity bill, water bill, mess bill, clothes washing bill etc will be decided based on the usage.

This is the top most agricultural College in Karnataka, so I choose this college for my doctoral degree. To get seat in this college one should definitely attend and qualify the entrance exam conducted by the KEA board State government.

To get entry in this college as a graduation student/ Post graduation student/ phd scholar one should appear for entrance exam conducted by state government. The faculties are very well trained and experienced here. There are different staffs for teaching graduation students, pg and PhD. The university will organize intercollegiate competitions in cultural events, sports and literary events every year to encourage the students.
