Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As I have planned soon after my 12th standard to go into the field of accounting and finance. I had a desicion to go for ACCA integrated course But Kristu Jayanti College gave me the opportunity to opt for B.com IBF which is integrated with US CPA which is a dream of every accounting professional. The coaching what they provide to us is impressive which such a great faculty and making us exam ready and also industry ready professional. The exam are abit hard for us but it's acceptable as we're also enrolled for a professional course which is understandable.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

During my 2nd year there was no internships opportunities provided by the college. But we were said to go under 1 month internship in any company of your choice. But from these year onwards they started to provide internships opportunities to the 2nd year students. I'm not we'll aware of the projects as I'm not in 2nd year.

Placement Experience

4

The placement session starts as soon as you enter your 5th semester. The student must be have minimum of 85% attendance to sit for placement and with no previous backlogs. Some of the name of the companies are like Deloitte,EY,ICICI, Accenture and many more The college has total agreement with 125+ companies. As I'm in my 5th semester currently the highest package was of 12.5 lakh till now and average package sticks around 4 lakh. The percentage of students placed is around 30-40% My future plans is to get a placement from college and after 1 year of preparation of my exams I'll be going for my US CPA exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee which is ?1,30,000. But during your 1st year an additional amount of ?18,000 for those students who are being outside of Karnataka and eligibility fee. The fee of each course keeps on increasing each year for the new batch. Meanwhile your fee is gonna be constant based on the year on which you have taken the admission. The fee break of ? 1,48,000 is as follows: Tution fee: 60,000 Admission fee: 1,000 Registration fee: 2,000 Games fee: 1,000 Association fee: 2,000 Library fee: 2,000 Magazine fee: 1,000 Lab fee: 7,000 Term Exam fee : 4,000 Fee for add.course: 50,000 Fee for students outside of Karnataka: 15,000 Eligibility fee: 3,000 Batchmate fee: BBA(THM): ?95,000 Yes , they do provide scholarship to the students which changes every year and update every student about it the eligibility criteria through their mail.

Campus Life

3.5

There is no as such musical or technical fest happens in the college. Just a ethnic day takes place every year in the month of September/October And many departmental fest goes on throughout the year. You can find every kind of books and journals in the library as per my knowledge. The classroom are equipped with projectors and wifi which is restricted to the usage of the social media and non educational sites. There is a College team of every sports which you can be a part of by giving the selection trials after that you'll be representing the college in different sports eventsm Yes,it effects student life if you run a social group, club which helps you to build a good relation with the faculty members of the college

Admission

I applied for Jain University for ACCA and I was selected too. But I choose kristu Jayanti College as it was a quite disciplined college as compared to Jain University and also due to some personal sources reviews. Yeah I got rejected in St. Joseph University. There is no specific reason for rejection which i was also not able to figure out . Mayb I applied there too late which was in the end of August that might be the reason. The admission process in Kristu Jayanti College is after filling out the admission form you'll be shortlisted that is been decided by the college management and after that you'll be having a personal interview on which basis you'll be getting enrolled.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty to student ratio is like 1:5 The faculty members are quite helpful and very knowledgeable persons which will guide you towards a better lifestyles. You can approach the faculty members anytime they'll be there to help you out. Cannot mention the faculty members name according to my likes or dislikes as it would be a bias opinion every student has it's own likes and dislikes. The exam structure of Kristu Jayanti College is 2 offline exams takes place Mid term(30) and End Semester examination (60) 1 online mid term takes place which is of 10 marks.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
