The lush green campus with great infrastructure
The new labs that have been introduced in the recent years
52 clubs that are open for all the students which provide students with choice of following their passion for the coming years

Dislikes

Small campus size is something that hurts a lil bit compared to the other campuses that are present in pune
The sports facility of the college is not that upto the mark and lacks in sporting facilities
the parking issue in the college campus for the vehicles

the course relevance and comprehensiveness is pretty commendable as they have tried to include everything the branch needs along with various multidisciplinary subjects that focuses on te overall growth of the student.

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities are great they assist for 3 years pre-final, final, and 1 year after the under-graduation completion. near about 150 companies coming for the internships as well as the Performance-based PPO.

the placements of the college are pretty good they provide on-campus placements as well as the internships for the students and the TPO support for three that is the pre-final, final and 1 year after the under graduation so in total 3 years of assistance toward the students

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for the entire course is near about 192000 for the open and general category students who have no reservation. The EWS and the OBC students have a fee for 110740 rupees and they enjoy the facility of scholarship. then comes the SC , ST students who have a fee of 25000 also the TFWS students have a 25000 fee

the overall campus life is good, with the lush green campus of 7 acres, 4 canteens in the college multiple spots for social interactions, and student gatherings to have fruitful discussions and the n number of clubs that facilitates with so many events throughout the year

Admission

the curriculum is pretty good, large number of clubs for having the fire towards your passion going on , the excellent infrastructure, the social interactions and the common gatherings are very fruitful, the events happenening in the college may it be technical or non-technical events that helps us in the growth and a good placement and internship assistance from the TPO for the students.

the faculty members are pretty good and experienced, some being PhD holders too. the exam curriculum is also good with a continuous assessment scheme with included components like home assignments, CVV, course projects, written or lab exams, and the lab assessments

From 6 the semester students becomes eligible for campus placement. In 2025, Capgemini has visited our college and also the Many more They helped us for getting internship in 8th semester also. As out batch is of 2024 Covid batch there has been no such placement occurred but after that the ratio has increased

Life of a mech_engineer at VJTI

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

Reality of VIT, Pune

I had applied for COEP technological University, PCCOE Pimpri, and VJTI. I got confirmed addmissions in PCCOE for mechanical course , COEP for metallurgy and VJTI for textile industry. At the last, I took addmission in VIT mechanical. VIT, Pune has good nirf rankings and rather than opting for branches like metallurgy and textile industry I choose mechanical. And between pccoe and vit I choose Vit. Vit accepts admission through cet and jee mains. Also dor dsy students it accpets through cet exam. Cutoff changes every year has been increasing as number of participants has increased. Overall, after the allotment of the college it took 3 hours to take addmission. It could be less if you have alll required documents and fees has been already paid using mean like dd....Read More
