Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have chose computer science as it is very much in demand nowadays. From small business owners to big MNCs everyone needs a tech team. My course really helps me understand more about the coding world and how things work out here. Teaching methods can be improved by installing smart boards. Semester exams are held for 3 hours.

Internships Opportunities

0.5

I'm sorry I don't really have much idea about internships in our college as I haven't applied or even bothered to know about them. But I've heard my batchmates applying for unpaid internships which our college is providing.

Placement Experience

2

Our college does provide placement opportunities but since it is a tier-III college packages are very low, even starting from 5000/- per month. Amazon, TCS and JQspiders had approached a month back. Percentage of students getting placements are very low almost 20-30%

Fees and Financial Aid

For the first semester I had to pay 42250/- along with admission fees which was 17750/-. Second semester fees was the same. Every year the fee increases by thousand rupees. So for the third and fourth semester I had to pay 43250/- each time. For the fifth and sixth semesters the fees was 44250/- each time. I am currently in my last year now(7th sem). This fees structure is for general caste. Lab fees and other fees are inclusive in the semester fees.

Campus Life

5

Sports fest is called Celsius. Sih(internal hackathon) was held about 15 days ago. Cultural fest is generally held in the months of January- February. Our library provides us with a range of books related to our curriculum. Sports and other extra curricular activities are very much appreciated in this college. The college ground is almost always utilised by either the cricket team or the football team

Admission

My WBJEE marks were terrible and I did not apply in any other colleges as I had an acquaintance in this college. Also the college is at a half an hour distance from my home so transportation takes less time. For admission you just need to bring your WBJEE marksheet and boards certificates along with identity proofs.

Faculty

3.5

Naming the teachers is something I cannot do. There is one teacher for every 20-30 students. Faculty members are very very supportive of the students, of course there are exceptions. Every semester there are 4 written assessments and 2 practical assessments before the sem exams. Semester exams are quite challenging but securing passing marks should not be a challenge. One out of every 10 students fail to clear the exams and one out of every 100 students needs to take a drop and repeat a year. Course curriculum is very much relevant to the career

Course Curriculum Overview:

Regarding examination the frequency is generally acceptable but the timing sometimes overlaps with project submission, creating unnecessary pressure. Exam duration is of 3hrs They should focus more on building projects which can be helpful for students Labs are modern and well equipped In terms of teaching methods a shift towards interactive learning, problem based assignments, hackathons and collaborative projects could make the learning experience more impactful. More emphasis on research and innovation at the undergraduate level could also encourage academic pursuits.

The curriculum is pretty helpful and the additional competitions such as hackathons and codathons are really helpful. the frequency of the exam is consisteny the timing is provided when the academic calendar is out.
