Course Curriculum Overview

4

This MBBS curriculum is under CBME concept. It allows application of different theory concepts into practical use. It gives a proper Clinical Exposure which literally helps us during our practice in future times. Improving the teaching methods by more us of pen paper than a presentation based method may be helpful as it is more engaging in a way. We can also use modern Pecha Kucha type of teaching method(by Dr. Abhisekh Das Sir) Frequency of exams should be lowered as it gives a student to try out different aspects of learning and not just sit and study for exam the whole year. Difficulty of the exams is variable. Overall clinical concepts should be clear to attempt satisfactorily.

We get admission to this college according to our Rank. So here there is no choice either. But , may be this college stands out from other college on few basis: Being a peripheral college , we get to know the diseases affecting the real India. The delay in diagnosis , insufficient medical awareness, financial crisis are some of the unhealthy situation which needs improvement. Getting into these college and helping them to survive is a greater challenge from being into the renowned colleges of the country. Jhargram is a beautiful place of tourism. Being a part of this medical college we get a beautiful peaceful environment to study. The patient load is also sufficient. Admission occurs through NEET ranking. 2022- cutoff for general students : 580/720 2023- cutoff for general students: 598/720 2024- cutoff for general students: 637/720

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is quite healthy. For every subject you could get atleast 5-6 faculty available. Only in pharmacology , we have only two profesors as of now which will get improved in the recent future. Naming may not be possible but yeah every professor has his own type of teaching style which may be appreciated or may be disliked by many. Professors are well experienced and quite knowledgeable. Have a very good friendly behavious to the students. May professors are interested about the research purposes. Exams: We have 3 Internal semesters and one Professional Examination each year. Internal Semester marks can vary according to institutional decision Proffessional Examination are divided into : Theory (200) and Practical (100)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
