Likes

It is a new college so having new study materials.
We have a good relationship between all students
We have a good canteen facilities. Having food at a affordable price.

Dislikes

We have no seniors for guiding us in every situation.
There is no playground and comm room at all.
We have new campus so noise for construction site

Our curriculum is very effective for real world applications or further academic pursuits.Total course duration is 4.5 years and 1 year compulsory internship. We have almost 3 semester per year and a final exam per year so the curriculum is very tough

We have a compulsory 1 year internship having a paid stephen. During internship we visit hospital with our senior doctors. We visit patient taking their history and it's a good opportunity for us to visit a partial disease.

Total annual fees 8000. Tution fee 6000 ; caution money 1000(one time per year); admission fees 1000( one time per year) . And exam fees 2000. Hostel fees 144 per year. Important accessories 36000 per year. Canteen charge 36000 per year

Almost all types of functions will be there. Library are available with almost all types of required book.all types of of sports material are present. So we are very much related to each other through sports and functions

The hostel is new and very clear ..the hostel is very affordable for all the students.. the canteen price is very good and food is very tasty..they provide proper table chair and almirah in each room..

It is a new college having almost all new study materials. Almost all facilities including lift canteen is available.And it provides a very good place for us. So we choose the college besides others coll

Faculty

We have a very poor faculty and students ratio.I like Sibsankar sir because he is very student friendly.All the teachers are very good and they teaches are really good. We are very proud of them always.

Burdwan Medical College inside life and details

Likes

Faculties are well trained and knowledgious
Boys girls ratio is 2:1. This college gives highest safety to girls
The campus offers number of games like badminton court, table tennis court and a large ground for cricket

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not very much good.
Other games like basketball court is brooen
The library is not having ac which creates a problem in summer

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam is very difficult. Literally you can't copy a single answer and can't carry cheat in examination but this is applicable only for final examination. Well, you can cheat in semester examination . Improvement in teaching method - mic of the lecture theatre not work properly and too much echo

Education, teaching, and related activities
FACILITIES LIKE LIBRARY, HOSTEL, CANTEEN.
Plenty of patient variety for better clinical exposure

Dislikes

Distant from kolkata, hence missed out a few opportunities.
Work load during internship is too much, no time to sleep propelry during the heavy subjects.

Placement Experience:

You can start practicing as an independent doctor only after completing internship, and getting registered to a council. During internship you get paid >31k/m The college provides housestaffship to students according to their ranks in academics, @monthly pay of 50k/m After the degree one can go for private practice, or for government MO jobs, or prepare for NEET PG for further studies.

Likes

Hostel rooms, shared along with roommates and memories made.
Cancer hospital building up for more patients.
Good patient outflow of our hospital, and has a little bakery for people who get hungry.

Dislikes

Mess food needs improvement, decent not very good
Construction never stops on campus, too dusty
Location, it is in between a jungle further away from durgapur

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mbbs is a hectic course and not for the weak hearted. It takes discipline and dedication which our college has taight us by taking several exams and practice sessions. There is no thing as studied everything or studied nothing here.

Faculties are awesome, as they help us in anything even not related to study .
Many chances to learn. We have hospital visits too.
There are fests and sports, so can embrace our that side too.

Dislikes

Books are pricy a bit, but we need them for knowledge.
Triple sharing room which creates a mess sometimes.
Nothing else I can find which needs improvement

Placement Experience:

After 9th sem No companies . We just appear for neet pg exam if neet pg cleared - 70000 If not cleared - 50000 neet pg percentage will be nearly 4 in 100 housestaff will be 20 in 100 I will try INICET

Why to choose AIIMS Kalyani over other Medical colleges

Likes

The infrastructure and the the quality of life in AIIMS is great and you would love to live there
The place has hoghest and most qualified clinicians which motivate you to become one of them
The academics and the faculties are superb

Dislikes

The campus has yet to develop cocurricular infrastructure fully
There is a bit of understaffness in the college
The campus is away from city and needs a bit of development outside the campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.

Top-notch hostel facility, better than most other colleges.
The most beautiful campus of all other medical colleges in India

Dislikes

The location is a bit on outskirt from city
The IPD is still not 100% functional after 5 years

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum spreads over 4.5 years + 1 year of compulsory internship. It includes a total of 19 subjects, these subjects prepare you well for handling patients in real life. AIIMS being an Institute of National Importance, has curated the curriculum very well with lots of focus on practical clinical knowledge. 4.5 years is divided into total 9 semesters and 4 Professional exams. In each exam you have to score more than 50% in each subject to pass. The course academics is very rigid and thorough, so you have to study hard really to come out as a skilled doctor.

The teachers are very helpful,and available all the time for students.
Seniors are like your own brothers and sisters,they have always got your back.
Classrooms,Library,Practical Laboratories.

Dislikes

Some teachers and seniors are not helpful,but their number is very very few.
Exams are always their,academic pressure is very much in MBBS
The local people are not very friendly at times

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is a very prestigious course,which provides you with a degree and license to practise anywhere in the county as a physician,and also opportunities to presure higher post graduate degrees. Faculty student ratio is variable from dept. to dept. ranging from 1:12 to 1:20 Faculties are highly qualified,most of them having MBBS,MD/MS/DNB(in one or multiple subjects)and even PhD. Teaching method is very good,student friendly,AC lecture theatre,Projectors,individual dept. and laboratories,library,examination hall everything is there. Moreover most of the teachers are approachable and available for the students,they are very helpful. Mostly offline classes are conducted. There are 3 semesters and one final university exam in a year,total four exams,almost one in two to three months. Qualifying marks is 50% in both theory and practical,and is a little difficult to pass to be honest,one has to study regularly to pass the exams.

Remarks:

The most important positive remark is its location. It is just a 3 hours drive from Kolkata and 4 hours drive from Cuttuck and Kharagpur being one of the India's largest railway station located just 10 Kms distance connection is all together very good be it by road or by train. And the city is very safe and clean.

I applied for many government medical college in the all india counselling the cit off everywhere was to high, this college was my 80th around choice and i got this in my counselling, i honestly didn't knew where jhargram is but still chose this college as i didn't had any other option also since it was in my state. And i got it in 3rd round i lost hope but then this college made my dream come true. The admission process is quite simple you just have to arrive on the date limit they assign you from the counselling and they you have to fill all the forms provide them with all the necessary documents, the staff is very calm and helpful also on the days of admission our seniors were present there to help and clear our doubts...Read More
