Likes
- Our college provides students with very good teachers. They put special attention to each student. There is weekly test held on continuous basis to enhance students. There is extra classes arranged for weak students. Very good notes are provided.
- Our college provides students with good environment. Good fest to enlighten the students mood . Good and fully air conditioner libraries. Good sitting place. One cafeteria to enjoy meals. Hostel food is very good.
- The atmosphere of our college is good and also warden of girls hostel is very good.she maintain discipline around the hostel and also she provides lots of care and affection.
Dislikes
- The one thing that is not good about this college is that during any fest or celebration there is a barrier made between the girls and boys so that they do not come in contact during dance performance.
- The other thing I dislike is the girls are not allowed to wear short clothes in campus or any party that took place in campus or fests. The are said to wear knee length dresses and not even much more backless outfits or revealing clothes.
- The last thing I dislike is that the college do not provide us with exam notification. They randomly inform us 2-3 days earlier the test going to held. They even don't give grace marks. They put the right marks in the papers what you wrote. No mercy.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum here is fully understandable and manageable. This curriculum enhance students to prepare themselves on their own. This is beneficial for the students as it provides students with real world experiences and hence enhance progress in them. The improvement areas is that there should be more gap given between continuous classes. The frequency of exam is very well defined. It enables students to prepare step by step.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year that is 5 th semester students are eligible for campus placements and interships. The companies who visited our campus is Deloitte, PWC, Amazon, TCS, Mahindra etc. Highest package offered currently in 2023 is 32 Lpa and 22 Lpa and average is between 5-6 Lpa.80% of the total students appeared in the placement. My plans is to pursue mtech after this.
Fees and Financial Aid
In 2024 tution fees - 1,24,00 The Jammu candidate gets scholarship and armed forces children. Hostel -85000 On the basis of your 12th and jee you can get a fee waiver on your tution fee . The management system is good they provide facilities if you face any difficulty in the campus.
Campus Life
The annual fest is Shivafest held in the month of April and tech fest is the Shiva Tech held in September whereas many more occassion take place in between. All types of books are available in the library. The facilities and technology are good as it provides you with good classroom , projectors. sports facilities is less but good along with trainers. Clubs are there you can easily join them and enjoy.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are good fully furnished and maintained. The food in the mess is of variety and good in taste along with sweet dish every day . The girls hostel are provided with a balcony and a small gas stove to cook for themselves. They have washroom attached with their room. The boys hostel have common washroom.
Admission
I have applied to galgotias college of engineering, Dit college and got selected too but I have choose this college over the above mentioned because of better education, good degree and minimal fees . In this college the environment is very good as compared to others. Admission process is that you should be 12th pass with minimum 70% and then register yourself. Wait until your registration is approved. Submit your documents and it's done submit your fees.
Faculty
A good attention is put on the students. 15:1 is the student faculty ratio. On every 2 week there is a meeting held of students with the faculty to discuss their issues. In my first year every faculty assigned was very good natured and knowledgeable. Few are Hemant Tripathi (phy), Deepak Rawat ( maths) and many more. One or two facilities are such that they come teach and go . They do not interact much with the students . They don't care who is coming or not . Weekly test are held along with monthly exam , mid term and semester exam. Only 20 % of the total students fail . The course is relevant and up to the mark.
